PAK vs ZIM at the Perth Stadium, the captains of both the teams faced each other for the toss and Zimbabwe won the toss and elected to bat first.
To unleash the pace attack, Shaheen Afridi came to the crease with Madhevere and Ervine opening the batting attack. Heading the team to a great start, Madhevere found the gap to smash the first two boundaries of the innings in the first over only and the side got a score of 14 in the first over.
Joining the fun, Ervine also crushed two boundaries, crashing on the up in the 2nd over. Scoring 19 off 19, Ervine lost his wicket to Haris Rauf and the score moved up to 42-1 after 5 overs.
With Sean Williams and Milton Shumba on the crease, Zimbabwe managed to cross the half-century with a score of 53-2 after 8 overs.
Raza and Williams slammed boundaries, shifting the score up to 87-3 after 13 overs. Adding 31 runs for the side, Williams lost his wicket to Shadab Khan. Losing frequent wickets in the next overs, Zimbabwe managed to cross the century, standing at a score of 104-7 after 16 overs.
With Ryan Burl and Richard Ngarava on the pitch, Zimbabwe created a total score of 130 in 20 overs with a loss of 8 wickets.
To begin the run chase of 131 runs, Rizwan and Babar Azam unveiled the batting from the top order for Pakistan to face the bowling of Ngarva.
Babar was dismissed by Brad Evans when Pakistan was at 13 runs in 3.3 overs. Rizwan got the first two boundaries of the innings and got 12 runs after 3 overs and lost his wicket to Brad Evans. Rizwan got another leading edge and got a six and the side moved up to 23-2 after 5 overs. Shan Masood played an important and role-defining inning of 44 runs in 38 balls for his team before Raza dismissed him in the 16th over.
Mohammad Nawaz and Wasim Jr stablised the Pakistan’s position in the match before taking the full control to win the match by 4 wickets. The duo added 34 runs in 28 deliveries, before Nawaz was dismissed by Evans in the 20th over. On the last ball of the match, Pakistan needed 3 runs. Shaheen Afridi was on strike but could help his team to chase 130 runs.
