For the 4th match of the 

T20 World Cup 2022 on October 17, 2022 at Bellerive Oval, Hobart, Scotland and Zimbabwe came up against each other on a pitch that looked good for batting wicket. 

 Winning the toss, Ireland opted to field first, allowing Joshua Little to open the bowling attack with Chakabva and Ervine at the crease. 

 Shocking Zimbabwe in the first ball, Little took the wicket of Chakbava. The right-handed batter Wesley Madhevere took the batting charge. 

 Madhevere took the ball long off the edge and hit two boundaries in the first over only, getting a score of 8, losing one wicket. 

 Keeping up the chase, he smeared multiple boundary hits, adding 22 off 19, moving up the score to 37-2 after 5 overs. At 5.2 overs, Simi Singh stumped Madhvere. 

 After 8 overs, Zimbabwe crossed half-century, standing at a score of 51-3. Sikandar Raza played with a power form, tossing the ball up high and outside, for getting fours and sixes for the side. Dragging Zimbabwe to a significant side, Raza got his 50 in the innings, smashing a six in 12.2 overs. Zim stood at a score of 112-4 after 13 overs. 

 The stellar performance of Raza led the side to stretch the score to 141-5 after 17 overs. Adding a huge run score of 82 off 48, Raza left the pitch, being compelled on a throw from Mark Adair. 

 With Sikandar Raza and Luke Jongwe on the batting attack, Zimbabwe managed to set a run record of 174-7 in 20 overs. 

 For the run chase of 175 runs, Stirling and Balbirnie opened the batting attack to witness the bowling of Ngarava. 

 Keeping the game at an ideal start, Tucker streaker the first four for the side in the first over, getting a score of 7 losing a wicket of Stirling in the first over. Scoring 11 off 11, Ngarva took another wicket of Tucker.  

 Ireland found it tough to stand against the death bowling of  Zimbabwe and lost multiple wickets frequently. After 4 overs, Ireland could only manage to score 23 runs with a loss of a huge 4 wickets. 

 Twisting the wrists with the power, Dockrell crunched two fours in the 7 over with the side crossing a score of half-century; 51-4 after 8 overs. Scoring 27 off 22, Campher lost his wicket to Williams and Ireland stood at a score of 93-6 after 13 overs. Losing frequent wickets, Ireland managed to cross the century after 15 overs with a score of 102-8. 

 Ireland rolled up the match at just a score of 143-9 in 20 overs, getting a defeat against Zimbabwe.
