What's your all-time favorite ODI cricket team of lefties? | CBTF News

In the history of cricket, many left-handed cricket players have ruled the cricket world. If we see the cricket Samachar, left-handers have been the biggest asset for the team for years and registered themselves into the history of cricket. Every team demands a left-handed pacer because they become unplayable to the right-handed batsman due to the angle and seam movement. A left-handed batter reacts quickly, so they have better stroke-playing abilities. In recent years, lefties have dominated the international circuit. The god of cricket, Sachin Tendulkar is also a leftie, but he is a right-handed batsman. So, we are not including him in the list.

Sanath Jayasuriya(Sri Lanka)

Sanath Jayasuriya will open the all-time favorite lefties ODI team. The Sri Lankan player is known for his attacking batting approach when everyone used to play slowly. If we see the cricket news, he is the one who redefined the batting in the powerplay and started attacking. He debuted in 1989 against Australia, and till 1995, his average never went down to 30. 1996 was a year in which he showed the storm to the world with his bat and took advantage of the fielding restriction in the first 15 overs.

Mathew Hayden(Australia)

A batter whose appearance was enough to threaten the bowler and he will open alongside Sanath Jayasuriya. He has been an extra factor in the Australian camp and one of few players from the 90s who adjusted himself into the T20. When he was on the strike gave no respect to the bowler. Imagine moving forward on a fast bowler and hitting them without any respect.

Brian Lara(West Indies)

Brain Lara is a legend, hero, true entertainer, leader, and many more. The West Indian batter ruled the cricket world effortlessly. He is in the elite company of the big cricketing name; Sachin Tendulkar, Jacques Kallis, Ricky Ponting, etc. He can easily fit into any team because he can play against spin and pace with equal efficiency. If we see the cricket news update, he has a record of scoring 400 in a test match that is impossible to break.

Sourav Ganguly(India)(C)

Captain of the Indian cricket team and the Dada, Sourav Ganguly holds a special place in Indian cricket history. People say that he is the one who taught team India how to win and fight. According to cricket news, he made the young, fearless team who started playing aggressive cricket. Sourav Ganguly has seen the ups and downs in his entire career but always be remembered as one of the best captains and his offside shot.

Kumar Sangakkara(Sri Lanka)(WK)

Sangakkara is an elegant stroke player and a reliable keeper who is the best in the business. He has achieved too many records and played almost 600 international matches for his country. He is one of the best wicket-keepers in the world and one of the few who picked the Sri Lankan spinner behind the stumps. He led Sri Lanka to the final of the 2011 world cup. He is the fourth player to score 13000 runs. The interesting fact about Sangakara is that he represented Sri Lanka in Tennis before switching to cricket.

Yuvraj Singh(India)

Arguably the best left-handed batter India can ever produce. The stylish and free-flowing Yuvraj Singh is one of the biggest match winners of white ball cricket. He has many shots that force fans to watch him: the flick, the glorious cover drive, slap cut through the backward point. He is full of class and helped India to win the two world cups: the T20 world cup 2007 and ODI world cup 2011. The six sixes in an over are his career highlight.
