In the 6th over, Jaiswal hammered two boundaries. In the 11th over, Rohit hit back-to-back two fours and India reached 50 runs. In the 16th over, Rohit hit two fours. In the 19th over, Rohit smashed a six on the second ball and scored a half-century and hit one more four on the fourth ball. After 20 overs, India was at 99-0. In the 21st over, India reached 100 runs. In the 23rd over, Jaiswal smashed back-to-back two fours and scored a half-century. After the end of session 1, India was at 121-0.
In the 32th over, Jaiswal started the over with a four and got out after scoring 57(74) on the fourth ball. In the 36th over, Shubman Gill hit a four on the third ball, India reached 150 runs and Gill got out after scoring 10(12) on the fourth ball. In the 39th over, Rohit got out after scoring 80(143) on the fifth ball. After 40 overs, India was at 157-3. In the 51th over, Rahane got out after scoring 8(36) on the fourth ball. After the end of the second session, India was at 182-4.
In the 58th over, India reached 200 runs. In the 60th over, Kohli started the over with back-to-back two fours and Jadeja hit a four on the fifth ball. In the 67th over, Kohli started over with a four and scored a half-century. In the 72th over, India reached 250 runs.
After the end of day 1, India was at 288-4, Ravindra Jadeja and Virat Kohli were playing at 36(84) and 87(161), respectively.
