West Indies vs India, 2nd Test, Day 4: India is Eighth Wicket Behind Whitewashing West Indies

At the end of day 3, West Indies was at 229-5, Jason Holder and Alick Athanazewere playing at 11(39) and 37(111), respectively.

At the start of day 4, both the batter resumed the batting and Mukesh Kumar started the bowling. In the 109th over, Athanaze got out after scoring 37(115) on the fourth ball. In the 110th over, Holder smashed a four on the second ball and got out after scoring 15(44) on the fifth ball. In the 112th over, Alzarri Joseph got out after scoring 4(12) on the fourth ball. In the 114th over, Warrican hit a four on the third ball and West Indies reached 250 runs. In the 116th over, Roach got out after scoring 4(13) on the third ball and Gabriel got out for a duck on the fourth ball. West Indies got all out at 255 runs. West Indies trailed by 183 runs.

 Yashasvi Jaiswal and Rohit Sharma came to bat and Kemar Roach opened the bowling attack. In the 1st over, Yashasvi Jaiswal finished the over with back-to-back two fours. In the 4th over, Rohit hit a four on the second ball and finished the over with a six. In the 6th over, India reached 50 runs. In the 8th over, Rohit started the over with a four and Jaiswal hit a four on the fifth ball. In the 10th over, Rohit started the over with a four and  scored a half-century and hit one more four on the fifth ball. In the 12th over, Rohit got out after scoring 57(44) on the fifth ball. After 12 overs, India was at 98-1.

 In the 13th over, India reached 100 runs on the second ball and Jaiswal got out after scoring 38(30) on the fourth ball. In the 22nd over, India reached 150 runs. In the 24th over, Ishan Kishan smashed back-to-back two sixes and scored a half-century. India declared the innings at 181-2 and took the lead of 364 runs.

 West Indies came to chase 365 runs. Tagenarine Chanderpaul and Kraigg Brathwaite opened the batting and Mohammed Siraj opened the bowling attack. In the 18th over, Brathwaite got out after scoring 28(52) on the last ball. In the 20th over, Kirk McKenzie got out for a duck on the last ball. In the 22nd over, West Indies reached 50 runs. In the 28th over, Jermaine Blackwood hit two fours.

 At the end of day 4, West Indies was at 76-2, Jermaine Blackwood and Tagenarine Chanderpaul were playing at 20(39) and 24(98), respectively.
