West Indies tour of UAE, 2023: United Arab Emirates vs West Indies, 2nd ODI, Preview

The second match in the three-match ODI series between West Indies and United Arab Emirate will take place at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium. Shai Hope's team leads the series 1-0 after winning the first ODI by 7 wickets with 88 balls remaining, and a victory on Tuesday night will wrap it up for them.

Despite Ali Naseer's first fifty of 58 off 52 balls with two sixes and five fours, the host team UAE, who batted first, were limited to 202 runs in 47.1 overs. Keemo Paul, who claimed 3/34 for WI, was the team's best bowler, with Dominic Drakes, Odean Smith, and Yannick Cariah each taking two wickets.

Chasing 203 to win, WI achieved the target in just 35.2 overs with Brandon King scoring a run-a-ball century and Shamarh Brooks scoring 44. Johnson Charles was the one who gave the momentum to their team with back-to-back three boundaries but got out after a good start. However, King did finish the match and got out when WI was near the target. Skipper Shai Hope and Keacy Carty finished the match and made sure West Indies won lose any more wickets. Aayan Afzal Khan, Zahoor Khan, and Rohan Mustafa shared one wicket each.
