IPL innings are intense, and things may get heated between the players. Here is the list of the biggest fights in IPL History that a cricket lover must know.

Virat Kohli Vs Gautam Gambhir

In the IPL season 2013, the twelfth match was between Royal Challengers Bangalore and Kolkata Knight Riders at Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bengaluru. The toss was won by Royal Challengers Bangalore which decided to bowl first. When it was the turn of RCB to bat and get a score more than RCB to win, there was an exchange of words between the captains of the team, i.e. Virat Kohli of RCB and Gautam Gambhir of RCB.

When Virat Kohli lost the wicket, he got annoyed after listening to some rude and disrespectful words from the opposition. Then, Virat Kohly bounced back and said some words in return. Rajat Bhatia tried to stop the two captains from arguing and was successful. However, they breached the level 1 code of violence and suffered the consequences. They were fined 10% of the match fees as punishment.

 

Harbhajan Singh Vs Sreesanth

In the inaugural season of IPL, i.e. 2008, there was the tenth match between Mumbai Indians (MI) and Kings XI Punjab (KXIP) at Mohali Cricket Stadium, Punjab. The toss was won by Mumbai Indians who decided to bowl first.

Kings XI Punjab scored 182 runs in 20 overs and won the game by 66 runs. Sreesanth, one of the bowlers of Kings XI Punjab mocked Harbhajan Singh as MI lost the match. Harbhajan Singh was already disappointed after losing the match and the words of Sreesanth irked him so much that he slapped him. Though both of them apologized to each other, Harbhajan Singh was disqualified for the remaining season.

 

Munaf Patel Vs Amit Mishra

In the 2011 IPL season, there was a match between Deccan Chargers (DC) and Mumbai Indians at Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai. The toss was won by Deccan Chargers who decided to bat first. Amit Mishra of DC smashed two consecutive shots and crossed boundaries. The bowler Munaf Patel tried to score the wicket but his efforts were in vain. Patel got frustrated and annoyed which led to the worst of him. There was a fight between Munaf Patel and Amit Mishra. They were both physically and verbally abusing each other until the umpires stopped them. In just 6 balls, Amit Mishra hit 18 runs and helped Dc win the match.

 

Harbhajan Singh Vs Ambati Rayudu

In the twenty-ninth match of the 2016 IPL season, the match between Rising Pune Supergiant and Mumbai Indians was held at MCA Stadium, Pune. The toss was won by Mumbai Indians who decided to bowl first. Harbhajan Singh of MI was bowling to Saurabh Tiwary. The ball went to the deep mid-wicket region and the fielder Ambati Rayudu fumbled as the ball went past the boundary. Harbhajan Singh was annoyed at Rayudu for not fielding properly and abused the latter. Ambati got angry at his teammate and both the players of the same team faced off against each other. Harbhajan Singh apologized but Ambati refused to accept it.
