IPL, is one of the biggest leagues in sports, and the 15th edition will be completed in 2022. Before the start of the season, a mini-auction was held, and the Mega auction was held after three years. If you see
in every auction some players get cores of rupees. Let’s see the list of players who have paid the most.
Virat Kohli Former Indian and RCB captain
has charged the most, and he was the single player to charge 17 cr till 2021. He has been with the RCB squad since the first edition of IPL, and from a normal boy to the world's best batter, he has seen all with RCB. In 2022, he stepped down from the captaincy and lowered his fee to 15cr.
KL Rahul The next-generation superstar and the Indian opener became the second player and only one player at current to charge 17 cr. In 2021, Punjab released him, and LSG added him to their squad. He is also the captain of LSG and takes his team to the playoffs.
Chris Morris Former
South Africa all-rounder became the most expensive player to sell out in the auction with 16.25 cr. Rajasthan Royals bought him in the 2021 mini-auction. A higher amount always comes with the baggage, and he doesn't do well according to the money released by the team before the Mega auction 2022.
Yuvraj Singh Indian all-rounder Yuvraj Singh was the most expensive player with 16cr for years, and later Chris Morris broke his record. In the 2015 mini-auction, Delhi went after him and bought for 16 cr. Yuvraj Singh also didn’t do well and was released by DD later. His career has seen lots of ups and downs after cancer.
Rohit Sharma MI captain Rohit is the next player to charge 16 cr and is the captain of Mumbai Indians. MI was struggling and didn't have any single trophy, then they made Rohit Sharma captain of MI, and the rest is history. Rohit Sharma is paid 16cr for the 2022 season.
Rishabh Pant Rishabh Pant is next on the list with 16 cr. In the 2021 season, Shreyas Iyer got injured, and he led the Delhi team from the mid of the season. DC made a massive investment in him, retained him, and made him the full-time captain.
Ravindra Jadeja Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja has improved a lot in recent years as a batter and all-rounder. He is one of the finest all-rounders at this time. is one of the most successful captains in the IPL. CSK paid him 15cr from 2018-2021, and in 2022 he stepped down from the captaincy and lowered the price to 12 cr.
Kyle Jamieson Kiwi fast bowler Kyle Jamieson got 15cr in the 2021 mini auction by RCB. 2020 was a phenomenal year for him, and it helped him to get 15cr, but he couldn’t justify the price and got dropped from RCB in 2022. No team bought him at the 2022 mega auction.
