Team India Squad for ACC Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022 Announced

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced the squad of India for the continental event, the day after the dates for the Women’s T20 Asia Cup 2022. This tournament will start from October 1 to 5 in Bangladesh and will be played in T20 format. Harmanpreet Kaur will lead the Indian side, while Smriti Mandhana as deputy. The squad is similar to a match played against England in a three-match T20I series. 

Regular members such as Shafali Verma, Deepti Sharma, Jemimah Rodrigues, Sneh Rana, and Rageshwari Gayakwad have been selected as the main squad. Recently made her debut against England, Kiran Navgire made a spot on the main roster with a track record in the 20-over format is brilliant. The Women’s Asia Cup will signal its return after a four-year absence. Each club will play six games in the league stage of the seven-team competition’s round-robin format before the top four teams advance to the semifinals. All matches will take place at Sylhet, and India’s campaign will get underway against Sri Lanka on the first day of play.
