Super Smash: Central Districts Emerged Victorious Against Auckland By 4 Wickets

At Pukekura Park, New Plymouth, the squads, Central Districts and Auckland came to the middle where the former team won the toss and opted to bowl first.

After 5 overs, AKL reached the half-century, standing at a score of 50. Adding a score of 45 in 25 balls, Briggs lost his wicket to Bruce, jumping up to a score 76-1 after 7 overs. Scoring 28 in 23 balls, Worker got a dismissal from Dudding and the right-handed batter, Robert ODonnell came to the middle.

After 13 overs, AKL crossed the century with a score of 101-3. In the 15th over from Bruce, Donnell slammed a four and two sixes.

In 20 overs, AKL posted 150 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of 9 wickets.

To chase down the target of 151, Greg Hay and Ben Smith came to the middle on the throw from Louis Delport. CD didn’t have a good start and in the 3rd over, Cleaver hit the first six for the side while Smith lost his wicket to Louis Delport. CD got a score of 12-2 after 3 overs.

In the 6th over from Gibson, Taylor and Cleaver got a six and two fours respectively. After 8 overs, CD crossed the half-century with a score of 63-2. Scoring 33 off 21 balls, Cleaver lost to Ashok. With Taylor standing tough for the side, CD crossed the century with a score of 103-4 after 15 overs.

Fueling 50 runs in 40 balls, Taylor lost his wicket to Gibson and the right-handed batter, Doug Bracewell came to the middle.

In 19.3 overs, CD scored 151 runs with a loss of 6 wickets and won against AKL by 4 wickets.
