Super Smash 2022-23, Match 13: Northern Knights vs Otago Abandoned Due to Rain

The 13th match of Super Smash 2022-23 was abandoned due to rain without bowling a ball. The match was scheduled between the Northern Knights and Otago on 6 January. The 13th match was about to take place at 7:30 AM(IST) at Seddon Park, Hamilton. Otago’s captain Hamish Rutherford won the toss and decided to bowl, but the match was delayed due to the rain.

It was predicted that rain would hit Hamilton, and it came before the batter came to bat. Everyone was hoping that action would resume, but the rain continued and got going. Since the women’s game was also scheduled right after this game. Rain was not in the mood to stop, so umpires waited till 10:00 AM(IST) and called it off. It is the first game in super smash 2022-23 that was abandoned due to rain. Hopefully, we will see the next game without disturbance in Wellington.
