South Africa vs Australia 2nd T20I: Australia's Ruthless Performance Sealed a Series Win Against South Africa; Won by 8 Wickets

In the Kingsmead Durban, 2nd T20I was played between South Africa and Australia. Australia was already ahead with 1-0 lead in the series. The toss favoured Australia and they opted to bowl first. They got off to a fast start thanks to Bavuma, but they lost four wickets in three overs, going from 36/0 to 46/4. The innings was stabilised by Markram and Stubbs, who also contributed a 50+ stand, although they were unable to sustain it for too long since the latter threw it away. The captain was one short of his fifty when he finally fell in the 19th over after losing partners repeatedly at the other end.

All 8 of the wickets fell to Australia's pacers, with Abbott and Ellis taking the most with three each. This is an excellent batting surface, and South Africa are certainly lacking.South Africa gave a target of 165 to Australia. It was expected that Australia would chase this below-par score conveniently. In the run chase, Australia had a plenty good start. 165 was a respectable target, but it never put Australia in danger. In the powerplay, Short attacked Ngidi and Coetzee, and after that it was the Mitch Marsh show.

With some spectacular slogs across the line, the Australian captain who is perhaps in the finest batting shape of his life took off the spinners with ease. Australia ultimately triumphed with a whopping 31 balls to spare and bagged the series with this 8-wickets win over South Africa. Everyone but Bavuma and Aiden Markram let the hosts down while they were batting earlier in the day, with Nathan Ellis and Sean Abbott each taking three wickets.

After win Aiden Markram said We got off to a great start, but then the loss of wickets made it challenging. We wanted to take it deep. When they came out and batted, it is hard to keep your nerve when there are two big boys trying to whack it around. This is a younger group, slightly inexperienced. It is still international cricket, we will look to compete better on Sunday.
