Salaries Of Cricketers From Around The World | CBTF News

Cricket is one of the popular and cash-rich sports. We all have discussed money in cricket. It happens due to various reasons as cricketers are just not a cricketer, they are celebrities, and people are curious to know more about them. If we see the cricket news, the net worth of top players is in crores, and it includes salary and brand promotion. In this article, we will see the salary and bonuses provided by the cricket board and will not talk about the money from the brand promotions and other income streams.

Indian National Cricket Team

The BCCI is the richest cricket board in the world and provides the highest salary to its players. They have divided the contract list into four parts - A+, A, B, and C. The salary amount differs depending on the category. Category A+ gets 7cr annually, A gets 5cr annually, B gets 3cr annually, and C gets the 1cr annual salary. The BCCI divides the players in a category based on how many formats they have played.

The players who play all three formats are in the A+. In the A category, players should play all three formats or at least 2 formats, and test cricket is necessary. Two format players are in the B category, and single format players are in the C category.

If we see the cricket news for India, Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Jasprit Bumrah are in the grade A+. R Ashwin, KL Rahul, Ravindra Jadeja, Rishabh Pant, and Mohammad Shami are in the Grade A. Ajinkya Rahane, Axar Patel, Shreyas Iyer, Cheteshwar Pujara, Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Siraj, Ishant Sharma are in Grade B. In Grade C, many players will get the 1cr.

Rather than salary, the BCCI also provides the match fee to the players. They provide 15 lac for a test, 6 lac for an ODI, and 3 lac for a T20. If any player hits the century, gets the 5 lac, and the same amount is given on 5 wicket haul. On double centuries players get the 7 lac, and these bonus amounts are given irrespective of their category.

Australia National Cricket Team

CA is also the richest cricket board that pays its players very well. They provide salaries to their players based on contract. Most Australian players are contracted under the Y category and get paid $278,000 annually. The captain of the team gets an amount of $750,000 annually.

Apart from the annual salary, players get the match fees irrespective of the contract. Cricket Australia paid $20,000 for a test match, $15,000 for an ODI match, and $10,000 for a T20 match. CA also paid to the players for every tournament win, and the bonus amount decides on the players' performance.

England National Cricket Team

ECB is also the richest cricket board and provides a good amount of salary to their players. It is one of few boards that started giving a good amount of salary. They gave a fixed amount of salary to the players based on their seniority and the previous year's performance. There are three types of contracts - test, white ball, and increment type. A player with a test contract can make a maximum of £650,000 per year, a player with a white ball contract £300,000 per year, and a player with an increment type contract can make £200,000 per year.

Apart from salary, they provide bonuses to the team as a match fee. Players get £18,000 for one test match, £10,000 for an ODI match, and £5,000 for one T20 match. While the skipper gets a 25% bonus on the annual salary, and players get bonuses for match-winning performance.

Pakistan National Cricket Team

PCB also pays their players' salaries based on contract. They have divided players into three categories - A, B, C. PCB paid 11 lac per month to the A category players, 7.5 lac per month to the B category players, and 5.5 lac per month to the C category players.

Apart from salary, PCB pays match fees to their players. Players get 1 lac for a test match, 50,000 Rs. for an ODI match, and 30000 Rs. for a T20 match.

New Zealand National Cricket Team

Once again, the New Zealand cricket board provides a salary to their players based on contract. If we see the world cricket news, the New Zealand cricket board provides a $200,000 annual salary to their contracted players, and the captain gets a $250,000 annual salary.

The New Zealand Cricket Board also provides the match fee to the players irrespective of annual salary. Players get $8495 for a test, $3682 for an ODI, and $2407 for a T20.
