Chris Gayle's 175 - The highest individual score in T20 cricket

On 23 April 2013, Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Chris Gayle smashed an unbeaten 175 off just 66 balls against Pune Warriors India. This monstrous innings is the highest individual score in T20 cricket to date. Gayle hammered 13 sixes and 17 fours during his incredible knock to take RCB to a massive score of 263/5. Chasing such a huge target, Pune Warriors were bowled out for 128, losing by 135 runs. Gayle's 175 remains the only century in T20 cricket and it showed the world why he is called the 'Universe Boss'.

Yusuf Pathan's 37-ball century - Fastest century in IPL

On 22 April 2010, Kolkata Knight Riders batsman Yusuf Pathan blasted the fastest century in IPL history against Mumbai Indians. Coming in to bat at number 3, Pathan went berserk and smashed a 37-ball hundred, which is the fastest century in all T20 cricket. His knock included 10 fours and 8 sixes as KKR posted a mammoth total of 222/3. Pathan's record-shattering century helped KKR register a comfortable 80-run victory. His century still remains the fastest in the cash-rich league.

RCB scores 263/5 - Highest team total in IPL 

As mentioned earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore registered the highest team total in IPL history of 263/5 against Pune Warriors India on 23 April 2013. Chris Gayle's monstrous unbeaten 175 was the cornerstone of RCB's mammoth total. Apart from Gayle, Virat Kohli (38), AB de Villiers (31), and Moises Henriques (53) also contributed with valuable cameos to help RCB post the highest team score in IPL. Chasing 264, Pune Warriors were bowled out for 128. RCB's 263/5 remains the highest team total in the tournament's history.

CSK scores 251/5 - Second highest team total in IPL

On 13 April 2018, Chennai Super Kings scored the second-highest team total in IPL against KKR. Batting first at Pune, CSK openers Shane Watson (117) and Ambati Rayudu (85) got the team off to a blazing start, putting on 184 runs for the first wicket. Faf du Plessis (43*) and Sam Billings (34*) then provided the late flourish as CSK amassed a mammoth 251/5. Despite a fighting 91 from Nitish Rana, KKR fell short by 64 runs while chasing 252 for victory. As per  ipl top news CSK's 251/5 remains the second-highest team total in the tournament. 

Virat Kohli scores 973 runs in a single season 

In the 2016 season, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Virat Kohli had one of the greatest seasons in IPL history, amassing a record 973 runs. He scored four centuries that season - the first player to achieve this feat. Kohli ended the season with an average of 81.08 and a strike rate of 152.03. His 973 runs that season is the highest number of runs scored by a player in a single IPL season. Kohli's incredible consistency and hunger for runs made him the leading run-scorer in IPL 2016 by a huge margin.

AB de Villiers' 149 - Fastest IPL century

On 18 April 2015, Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman AB de Villiers smashed the fastest century in IPL history against Mumbai Indians. Coming in to bat at number 4, de Villiers went ballistic and brought up his ton off just 52 balls, which is the fastest IPL century to date. He ended up scoring an unbeaten 149 off just 44 balls with 13 fours and 8 sixes. His knock helped RCB post a massive 248/3 as they went on to win the match by 97 runs. de Villiers' 52-ball century remains the fastest in the cash-rich league.  

Sunrisers Hyderabad defend 126 against RCB

On 5 May 2016, Sunrisers Hyderabad registered the lowest successful run chase in IPL history against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Batting first, SRH was bowled out for a paltry 125/8. RCB batsmen Virat Kohli (48) and AB de Villiers (41) got off to good starts but SRH spinners contained the run flow brilliantly in the middle overs. Defending such a small total, SRH bowlers led by Bhuvneshwar Kumar (4/21) and Mustafizur Rahman (3/12) produced a superb bowling display to bowl out RCB for 113 and win the match by 12 runs. Their victory while defending 126 remains the lowest successful run chase in IPL.

KKR scores 232/2 against RCB - Highest opening partnership 

On 23 April 2018, Kolkata Knight Riders openers Chris Lynn and Sunil Narine created a new IPL record by putting on a massive stand of 232 runs for the first wicket against Royal Challengers Bangalore. Lynn smashed an unbeaten 93 off just 30 balls with 11 fours and 7 sixes at a strike rate of over 300. Narine, on the other hand, scored 64 off just 32 balls with 6 fours and 4 sixes. Their partnership of 232 shattered all previous records as KKR posted a mammoth total of 232/2. Despite Kohli's 99, RCB fell short by 38 runs while chasing. Lynn and Narine's opening stand of 232 remains the highest partnership for any wicket in IPL history.
