Hanuma Vihari is scheduled to play for Madhya Pradesh in the 2023–24 domestic season to revive his India career. Under the condition that his current employers, the Andhra Cricket Association, issue a No Objection Certificate, the 29-year-old, who has participated in 16 Test matches, will be one of two professionals in the mix of recent cricket news. Vihari will join the middle order, which already has Shubham Sharma, Rajat Patidar, and Venkatesh Iyer. In the Duleep Trophy, Vihari is now captaining South Zone, and he may also be a candidate to captain Madhya Pradesh. It is said that Chandrakant Pandit, a well-known domestic cricket coach who has won the Ranji Trophy with Mumbai, Vidarbha, and most recently with MP, was someone he was eager to play for.
Since July of last year, when India played the final Test of a five-match series in England, Vihari has not been a member of the team for Test matches. Vihari has played in 16 games thus far and has amassed 839 runs at an average of 33.56 with one century against the West Indies.
Vihari in the recent cricket news only scored 490 runs in 14 innings during his most recent domestic season, during which he led Andhra to the knockout rounds. He also had two half-centuries. To protect a broken forearm, he batted left-handed in his final act despite being a right-hander by nature. His first-class numbers as a whole are extremely impressive. In 113 games, he has scored 8600 runs, including 23 centuries and 45 half-centuries, for an average of 53.41.
He began his career with Hyderabad before relocating to Andhra in 2015–16. Before the 2021–22 season, he briefly moved back to Hyderabad before relocating to Andhra. His third team will be MP.
Kulwant Khejroliya, a left-arm fast bowler for the Pandit-coached Kolkata Knight Riders IPL team, has caught the attention of Madhya Pradesh, which was also interested in signing him.
After years of disappointment in Delhi, Khejroliya, 31, now has the chance to prove himself across forms. He has played in just 14 first-class matches since making his debut in 2017–18, taking 32 wickets in a meager return. The List-A numbers for Khejroliya, however, are far more spectacular. He has 61 wickets at an average of 19.52 from 29 games.
Vihari and Khejroliya have been listed by the MPCA as probably those who will participate in a conditioning camp before the start of the season.
Unveiling of a new BCCI chief selector? After being considered the favorite to succeed Chetan Sharma, an Indian great leaves Delhi Capitals.
The former captain of India was identified as the 'frontrunner' to succeed the current top selector at the BCCI, and his departure from DC may be proof of that.
The Indian Premier League team Delhi Capitals made a move on Thursday that all but verified the rumors about the front-runner for the new chief selector position for Team India. The Capitals announced their decision to part ways with assistant coach Ajit Agarkar on their official Twitter account. Agarkar had been strongly linked to the BCCI position, and the Capitals also confirmed their split with Shane Watson, another assistant coach who worked with the former India star.
Days before the announcement, Agarkar was said to be the front-runner to replace the current chief selector on the board. Since Chetan Sharma was controversially fired earlier this year as a result of a sting operation in which the former India bowler revealed private information about the Indian cricket team, the position has remained empty.
Gambhir, according to recent cricket news who is envious of Virat Kohli's success and finds it difficult to accept it, starts a can of worms with the ugly IPL altercation
The Pakistani opener claimed that Gautam Gambhir is fostering animosity inside the Lucknow SuperGiants squad because he is jealous of Virat Kohli's success.
Since roughly two months ago, Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir have been engaged in a furious argument at the IPL 2023. Following Royal Challengers Bangalore's victory over Lucknow SuperGiants, Kohli and Gambhir came dangerously close to engaging in one of the most infamous fights in history.
When a fight broke out that didn't even involve the former India opener, Gambhir and Kohli, who are no strangers to arguing on the field (they first fought during the 2013 IPL), allowed their feelings to rule them. Naveen-ul-Haq and Kohli got into a heated dispute, but Gambhir's presence made it clear that he would not tolerate anyone acting improperly towards one of his players.
While Gambhir finally broke his silence on his feud with Virat by declaring, "If there is an argument between us, it stays only on the pitch, not off the pitch," Kohli and Naveen continued to slam one another in cryptic Instagram stories.
Nothing about it is personal in world cricket news. However, if Ahmed Shehzad, a former Pakistan opener, is to be believed, Gambhir's actions are motivated solely by jealousy of Kohli. Shehzad believes that Gambhir's behavior towards his former India teammate suggests that he is searching for an opportunity to start a brawl. Shehzad was previously referred to as Pakistan's answer to Indian superstar Virat Kohli because of their fairly similar physical characteristics. Even more, he charged that Gambhir was poisoning the psyche of the young players for the Lucknow SuperGiants.
