Key Highlights

• South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first and created a run score of 205 with loss of 5 wickets. 

• Rossouw crossed the century and got a whopping score of 109 single-handedly, including 8 sixes and 7 fours at a strike rate of 194.64.

At Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, for the 22nd match of Super 12, Group 2 match, the captains came up for the toss and South Africa won the toss and chose to bat first to commence the 

BAN vs SA match.  Bavuma and de Kock opened the batting attack with Taskin Ahmed on the bowling attack. SA had a difficult start as they lost their wicket in the first over only. 

 De Kock drove the square of the wicket on the off-side for the first boundary of the innings and stood at a score of 10-1 after 2 overs. They had a brilliant next over and the partnership of de Kock and Rossouw got 14 runs in the 3rd over only that included the first hit for a six by Kock. 

 Amidst the high shoutouts and hoodoo among the fans in the pavilion, Rossouw kept crunching fours and sixes and helped the team move up crossing half-century with a score of 58-1 after 5 overs. 

 The association of Kock and Rossouw proved threatening for Bangladesh as they stood tough to cross the mark of century, 112-1 after 11 overs. 

 Fueling a huge score of 63 off 38, de Kock lost his wicket to Afif Hossain in the 15th over and Tristan Stubbs took the batting charge but got early dismissal. Playing tough innings against Bangladesh, Rossouw was up for his century and posed his team to a significant strength by adding a score of 109 in 56 balls he fell for Shakib.

 South Africa smashed a total score of 205 in 20 overs with a loss of 5 wickets. 

 To chase down the target of 206, Shanto and Soumya Sarkar came up on the crease to face the bowling of Rabada. 

 What a wonderful start to revert South Africa. The duo was on fire as Shanto smashed first boundary for the side while Sarkar clipped the delivery to hit 2 sixes in the consecutive balls and got a score of 26 after 2 overs. Right after that Sarkar and Shanto lost his wicket to Nortje.

 With Litton Das giving some hopes to the Bangladesh team, crossing half-century with a score of 52-4 after 7 overs. The team took more wickets in the next few overs but Das kept his nerves strong, helping the team jump to a score of 74-6 after 11 overs. None of the Bangladeshi batters except Das could cross the 20+ mark. With Nortje taking 4 wickets for SA, Bangladeshi team bowled out at 101 runs in 16.3 overs.
