New Zealand vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI: Bangladesh Avoided Series White Wash; Won by 9 Wickets

New Zealand vs Bangladesh 3rd ODI: Bangladesh Avoided Series White Wash; Won by 9 Wickets The 3rd and the final ODI match between Bangladesh and New Zealand was played at Mclean Park, Napier, New Zealand. Bangladesh won the toss and opted to field first. Batting first, nothing worked well for the host. An incredibly unusual performance from New Zealand, as they were bowled out for just 190 balls before reaching 100 runs as a team. In this last ODI match, Bangladesh's excellent seam bowling on a green top has completely unsettled the hosts. Their innings never really got underway since the Bangla bowlers bowled the perfect lengths from the off, with the exception of Will Young and Tom Latham's opening bowls. The ground was ideal for seam bowlers, as Tanzid Hasan claimed three and Shoriful Islam added another triple. The pace guys took all ten wickets for Bangladesh today, with Soumya Sarkar destroying the opposition before Mustafizur claimed the last wicket.

A pitiful 99, but it's going to be difficult given the seam movement that Napier is offering today.   Bangladesh responded by making sure there were no hiccups. After playing a couple and missing a few, Sarkar left the pitch complaining of some pain in his right eye. Shanto teamed up with Anamul, and the two struck a barrage of boundaries to dash any last hope for the NZ team. Anamul lost against O'Rourke for 37, but the home team lost too little, too late. The visitors chased down the total with 34.5 overs remaining, and captain Shanto scored a fifty and duly hit the winning runs.  a significant victory for Bangladesh.   The visitors chose to field after the first two games ended in defeat, and the bowlers did not let their captain down. Bangladeshi bowlers on fire: swing, seam, and more bounce! Tanzim Hasan Sakib took two wickets in the opening powerplay and was excellent with the new ball. The innings appeared to be rebuilt by Young and Latham, but Shoriful returned and removed both batters.

In his second session, the left-arm pacer claimed three wickets in three overs, while Sakib added one more to his total. For amusement, Soumya Sarkar also withdrew the lower order batters and picked a three-fer. The hosts were bowled out for 98 runs, and Mustafizur put the icing on the cake by hitting the last hitter for New Zealand.   After picking up the trophy, Latham goes to join his teammates in the picture shoot. This dead rubber failed to draw support from New Zealand. On a seam-friendly track, they were skittled out for 97 after posting two convincing victories.

Not even their bowlers could muster more than one wicket. proves to you how outplayed they were. Bangladesh, on the other hand, performed flawlessly today. It's time to end this series after Shanto and company achieved a historic victory. Here in Napier, the three-match T20I series gets underway on Wednesday.
