Most Runs on a Single Ground in ODI Cricket History | CBTF News

The venue and pitch are very important in cricket, and some venues  become favorite locations for certain batters and teams. Some people enjoy playing on flat tracks, while others enjoy turning or green top tracks. Some batsmen have a tendency to perform well on certain fields, such as Mahela Jayawardena, who amassed over 2000 runs in Test cricket at Colombo's SSC Ground. The top run scorers across all formats on a single field are mentioned below.

These batters are among the best in the game and have adopted one ground as their home field, scoring a lot of runs there. The players who have scored the most runs in ODI cricket history on a single field will be discussed in this article.

We have discussed the batters who prefer to score runs in different stadiums around the world in a different article, but for now, let's talk about the batters who are the masters of the one field where they score the majority of their runs. As per

cricket news, this is a very interesting list, and some of the names on it may surprise you, so let's look at the names on it.

Tamim Iqbal – 2795

Many people may be surprised by the first name on this list, but Tamim Iqbal is an incredibly great batter who has long served Bangladesh cricket. His record at this venue in Mirpur is very impressive, and he deserves to be at the top of this list until someone can unseat him. He has played 82 innings on this field, during which he has scored at a rate of nearly 35, with a highest score of 132. He has also amassed five ODI hundreds at this Mirpur venue.

Mushfiqur Rahim- 2616

The second batter from

Bangladesh on this list has set a record at this Mirpur stadium twice in a row. One of Bangladesh's top limited-overs batsmen, Mushfiqur Rahim has won many games throughout his career. In 86 innings of batting on this field, he has an average of 36.33 and a best score of 125. At this location, he has three hundreds in ODIs.

Shakib Al Hasan- 2553 Runs

Three consecutive victories for Bangladesh batters in this stadium in Dhaka, and this time it's Shakib Al Hasan, the national cricket hero of Bangladesh. He has also consistently ranked among the top all-around cricket players in the world for a very long time. He has played 81 innings of baseball in this stadium so far with an

New Zealand average of 38.10, a best score of 106, and two centuries.

Shakib carried on in the same manner as he had in the ODIs in the Test setting. In the 2008 Test match in Chittagong against, he made a significant breakthrough. He recorded 7/36, the best bowling performance by a Bangladeshi bowler to date. In the second innings, Shakib also helped by scoring a fifty to give New Zealand a difficult 317. He received no assistance from the other bowlers, and New Zealand went on to win the match.

Sanath Jayasuriya- 2514 Runs

Finally, there is a change in the nation of the batter and the venue, and this time it is one of the all-time greats of the game, Sanath Jayasuriya, who has scored a lot of runs everywhere he has played but who particularly enjoyed playing in Colombo where he scored a lot of runs. He played 70 innings here, batting an average of 38.67, and he has four ODI hundreds at this venue. His highest score at this location was 130.

Inzamam-Ul-Haq- 2464 Runs

Inzamam-Ul-Haq, the final batter on our list, was one of the first batters to play for

Pakistan. He loved playing at this renowned Shariah venue and scored a lot of runs there. He played 59 innings of baseball here, averaging over 50, and his highest score was 137*. At this venue, he has also scored hundreds in four ODIs.

After Pakistan's exit from the 2007

World Cup

in the first round, his captaincy tenure finally came to an end. Immediately after, he announced his retirement from both test and one-day international cricket. He joined the ICL shortly after making his decision public (Indian cricket league). The PCB vehemently disagreed with this choice, but Inzamam went on to play in the ICL. As a result, in accordance with the board's regulation and their position against ICL, he was not eligible to be selected for Pakistan. Inzamam received a lifetime suspension as a result of this, but left the ICL because it wasn't as popular as planned. He was chosen for Pakistan once more, and the Lahore Test's second match against South Africa would be his final. It would have taken Inzy only 19 runs to surpass Javed Miandad as Pakistan's all-time leading run scorer in Test matches, but he fell two short, capping off an illustrious and well regarded career.
