Undoubtedly, the highest level of cricket is international. Every cricketer's childhood desire is to represent their country in international competition. Every person takes delight in donning the national headgear. Many children in
India dream of donning Indian shirts because the sport is considered a religion. But not everyone can realize their aspirations.
Kerala is a relatively remote location globally, particularly in cricket. However, it has produced a small number of cricket players who went on to represent India.
Here are three cricket players who have represented India in some capacity. You may be familiar with one or at least two of them.

Sanju Samson- Samson, the captain of the Rajasthan Royals in the
IPL, is one of Kerala's most well-known and accomplished cricketers. Born on November 11, 1994, he is a right-handed wicketkeeper-batsman who leads the Kerala squad at home and the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL. He has played for India in T20, and ODI matches as of late and made his debut for the national squad in 2015. He is a top-order batsman who has dazzled everyone with his incredible wicket-keeping abilities and striking and aggressive batting style. In the IPL, he also guided the Rajasthan Royals to one of the most successful seasons ever.

S Sreesanth – Possibly the most well-known cricketer from Kerala to have represented the Indian national squad is Shanthakumaran Sreesanth. The quick bowler from Kothamangalam was a squad member for two ICC World victories: the World T20 in 2007 and the ICC
World Cup in 2011.

In 2002, he became the first bowler from Kerala to record a hat-trick in Ranji Trophy cricket. A few years later, in a Challenger Trophy game, he slammed Sachin Tendulkar and got rid of him. He made his international debut in an ODI against
Sri Lanka in Nagpur in October 2005 after several solid performances in domestic cricket. In 2006, he played his first Test match against
England, and Nagpur served as the location.
Sreesanth continued his 5-year international career by participating in 27 Test matches, 53 ODIs, and 10 T20Is. During India's disappointing 2011 England visit, he last participated in an international match (in a Test match).
Before being embroiled in a spot-fixing incident during the IPL in 2013, the right-arm bowler continued to play domestic cricket and the IPL to make a return. Sreesanth hasn't played competitive cricket since May 2013 because the BCCI permanently banned him from all kinds of cricket.
Basil Thampi – In
domestic cricket, Basil Thampi represented Kerala and was named the season's most promising player in the IPL in 2017. On September 11, 1993, in Ernakulam, he was born. He is a right-handed batsman and medium-fast bowler named to the T20 side in 2017 after playing on the internet but hasn't yet had the opportunity to compete internationally. He had a fantastic Ranji Trophy domestic season and was Kerala's top wicket-taker with eight wickets in 6 games.

Robin Uthappa – Another talented player from Kerala is Robin Uthappa, one of the reliable players for CSK in the current IPL season. He was a domestic cricket player for the Kerala Cricket team and was born on November 11, 1985, in Kodagu. From 2006 until 2015, Robin Uthappa played for
India in ODI and T20 matches. He is a right-handed wicketkeeper who bats at No. 3, No. 4, or No. 5. He participated in the 2007 ICC World T20 and has made some significant contributions to his squad.

Tinu Yohannan – Tinu Yohannan was the first player from Kerala ever to represent India in
international cricket. He is the son of former Indian Olympian T.C. Yohannan, who competed for the country in the 1976 Summer Olympics in Canada. Tinu Yohannan was born in Kollam (formerly known as Quilon) and played under Sourav Ganguly's direction in the early years of this century.
In the late 1990s, the MRF Pace Foundation included the right-arm medium pacer. He made his international debut in a Test match against England in Mohali, and he picked up 2/75 in his debut while forcing out the England starters. After his debut, he only played in two more Tests, but he finished with five wickets in those three.

He made his ODI debut about six months after his Test debut. He played only three times for India in 50-over matches while taking five wickets. His debut ODI match against the West Indies at Bridgetown in May 2002 had his best stats, 3/33.
He only took ten wickets at an average of 37.79 in his six international appearances.
