Liam Gurthie records the most expensive spell in BBL history

T20 is a batsman-dominated format, and BBL follows it. BBL has many high-scoring matches, and due to it, the bowler's spell becomes expensive. Brisbane Heat pacer Liam Guthrie made an unfortunate record on his name against Melbourne Stars. He gave 70 runs in 4 overs and became the most expensive bowler in BBL. 

 

Ben Dwarshuis was the most expensive bowler, and Liam Guthrie became the most expensive bowler. He started well and gave only the eighth run in his first over, but he was hit for boundaries in his next overs. He took 2 wickets in his spell but became the most expensive bowler according to the

Top 5 Bowlers Who Bowl Most Expensive Spell In BBL (H2)

Liam Guthrie

On 27 December 2021, he became the most expensive bowler in BBL, according to the Big Bash news update.

 

Brisbane Heat won the toss and elected to field first. Melbourne openers Marcus Stoinis and Joe Clarke came to open, but Stioinis got out on

duck 

 

on Mark Steketee's ball. Melbourne lost early wickets, but Hilton Cartwright and Joe Clarke made a partnership and played a crucial knock. They hit boundaries all over the park, and Liam Guthrie had no answers, but in the end, he took the wickets of Hilton Cartwright. Melbourne Stars scored 207 runs for 9 wickets in 20 overs.

 

 

 

In response, Brisbane Heat lost their early wickets, but Chris Lynn and Ben Duckett made a partnership and took care of Brisbane's innings. They didn’t get any support from other batters except Sam Heazlett, who scored 26 runs in 15 balls. In 20 overs, they only scored 187 runs for 9 wickets and lost the match by 20 runs.

On 29 December 2021, Kane Richardson broke the record of Ben Dwarshuis and became the second player to concede the most runs in BBL after two days of an unwanted record of Liam Guthrie. It was the Big Bash news update.

 

Melbourne Renegades won the toss and elected to field first. Their bowler proved them right and took the early wickets, but Ben McDermott held on to the wickets and scored 127 runs in 65 balls. In the end, Tim David played a quick inning and scored 30 runs in 9 balls. He scored 4 sixes and one four, while McDermott hit 9 fours and 9 sixes. Hobart Hurricanes scored 206 runs for 5 wickets in 20 overs.

In a match between Hobart Hurricanes and Melbourne Stars, Melbourne won the toss and elected to field first. Their bowler started well and took the early wickets, but Jonathan Wells and Darren Sammy scored runs for their team and scored a respectable total. Hobart scored 190 runs for five wickets.

He was the second bowler to touch the 60 runs mark in 4 overs against Perth Scorchers. Perth scored 213 runs, and Mitchel Marsh scored a maximum of 93 runs in 41 balls. Liam Livingstone, Cameron Bancroft, and Josh Inglish scored 39, 41, and 28 runs respectively.

 

In response, Brisbane scored only 179 runs in 20 overs and lost the match by 34 runs.
