Lanka Premier League 2023: Jaffna Kings Bagged 8-Wickets Win

Lanka Premier League 2023: Jaffna Kings Bagged 8-Wickets Win Over Galle Titans In the 7^th match of Lanka Premier League 2023 played at Pallekele International Cricket Stadium, Galle Titans and Jaffna Kings came face to face. Galle Titans won the toss and opted to bat first. Galle made the mistake of choosing to bat first after winning the toss. In the powerplay, Theekshana and Asalanka each scored once. While Seifert and Daniel lingered for a while and kept the scoreboard moving, Wellalage swooped in and completely tore Galle's sails. Daniel's dismissal signalled the beginning of the end, and Seifert and Shakib soon followed in an effort to boost the ante. Only Shanaka managed to keep one end up and land a couple lusty smashes to push Galle over the 100 mark. The tailenders were unable to accomplish anything noteworthy after he, too, left in the 19th over. Wellalage completed his game with a 4-fer, and the other bowlers showed restraint. Galle Titans could only manage to 117-9 in 20 overs. Even though it was a meagre total, Jaffna didnt treat it nonchalantly because the pitch was gripping, turning, and some balls were also staying low. In the run chase, Jaffna brutally destroyed Galle. Galle actually had insufficient points on the board, and Gurbaz's tempo at the top made it far too simple. Don't overlook Towhid Hridoy either; he destroyed the opponents while matching Gurbaz stroke for stroke. Even people like Shamsi and Shakib weren't permitted to settle down, so Shanaka and company were at a loss for words. Dananjaya had a terrible night and was put down much too frequently by witnessing those go for big plays. Jaffna put 120/2 in just 12.4 overs and won the match by 8 wickets against Galle Titans. The NRR of Jaffna will take a major boost while the reverse will be true for Galle. Stay tuned with us for more Lanka Premier League live score, LPL 2023 updates, and cricket Samachar!
