IPL 2023 AUCTION: Sam Curran Shattered IPL Records With a Whopping Bid of 18.5 Crore from Punjab Kings

The preparations of the cash-rich league, Indian Premier League (IPL) auction has started in Kochi for the 2023 session. So far, there have been record-breaking moments in the auction with 3 players creating history. 

 

During the bidding, all-rounder from England, Sam Curran became the player with the highest bid in IPL so far. Punjab Kings bought the stunner for Rs. 18.5 crore.

 

In the queue, Australian cricketer, Cameron Green found their spot in Mumbai Indians as he got a bid for Rs. 17.5 crore, followed by Chennai Kings pulling off Ben Stokes for Rs. 16.25 crore. 

 

Nicholas Pooran was rolling in the bid between Lucknow Supergiants and Delhi Capitals and the former got him for Rs. 16 crore. 

 

Previously, ex-captain of Sunrisers Hyderabad, Kane Williamson was sold out to play for Gujarat Titans, who began the auction day with the highest bid.
