The teams Abu Dhabi Knight Riders and Gulf Giants came against each other at  Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. Abu Dhabi Knight Riders won the toss and chose to bat first. Stirling and Ingram opened the batting attack on the bowling of Richard Gleeson.

In the first over Stirling hit the first boundary of the inning. After 4 overs , ADKR got the score of 14. In the fourth over Ingram lost the wicket to Sanchit Sharma and the right handed batter Brandon King took the batting charge. After 10 overs ADKR crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 55-4. In the 12th over Russell slammed two back to back boundaries and immediately lost his wicket to Jordan. After 16 overs, The side jumped up to the score of 91-7.

In 20 overs ADKR boys registered 114 runs with the loss of 9 wickets.

To chase down the target of 115, James Vince and Rehan Ahmed came to unveil the batting attack on the opening bowling from Rampaul. In the second over Rehan Ahmed crunched a four for the side. After 3 overs Gulf Giants got a score of  10-0. In the third over  Rehan Ahmed slammed two boundaries while Ahmed lost his wicket. 

After 6 overs, GLG scored a half century with a score of 50-1. In the 9th over, Vince smacked two huge sixes and reached a 50-run stand; GLG at a score of 74-1. Scoring 65 runs in 44 balls, Vince lost his wicket to Narine. After 12 overs, GLG jumped to a score of 95-3. 

In 14.1 overs, GLG scored 115 runs with a loss of 4 wickets and won the match by 6 wickets.
