The ICC Men's T20 World Cup Warm-Up matches have been scheduled in Brisbane and Melbourne for all the teams. The 1st round team will play warm fixture matches between 10 October to 13 October with matches divided between the Junction Oval Stadium and Melbourne Cricket Ground. India will play the warmup matches with Australia and New Zealand before their match against neighboring COuntry Pakistan on 23 October at Melbourne Ground.
The warmup matches will be held from 10 October but the teams who have already secured their positions in Super 12 would play their warm-up matches on October 17 and October 19. The 1st round teams i.e. Sri Lanka and West Indies will play their warm matches between 10 October and 13 October. The matches are only held in Melbourne and Brisbane during the T20 World Cup. The point to be noticed is that these warm-up matches will not carry T20 International status officially.
The Indian team is currently playing the Asia Cup championship in the United Arab Emirates but the legendary Indian batsman Rohit Sharma has been knocked out of contention for their final matches after their losses against Sri Lanka and Pakistan in the stage of Super 4. India will play their final match against Afghanistan in the continental tournament on Thursday. The nation is highly excited about that match with India. However, the match will not get any official status but the team and the fans are highly excited about the match.
