India vs. South Africa, 2nd T20I Preview: South Africa Aims for Leveling the Series

The second Twenty20 International between South Africa and India will occur today at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati. India took the opening match by 8 wickets and now has a 1-0 series lead after three games.

Despite having a comfortable 1-0 lead, India must contend with the growing prospect that their extraordinary pacer, Jasprit Bumrah, won't be available for the World Cup, or at least for some of it. In the first T20I, Indian bowlers totally outwitted South African hitters; they reduced them to 9-5 after 2.3 overs.

They exceeded the 100-run threshold in some way. Arshdeep Singh took three wickets, and Deepak Chahar and Harshal Patel each went after two victims. India defeated the target thanks to KL Rahul's additional half-century and Surya kumar Yadav's 50 off 33 deliveries with 8 wickets.

We expect another exciting cricket match here in Guwahati as the two teams square off. After a poor showing in the opening game, the South African team will be looking to make a comeback in the series. Arshdeep Singh has demonstrated his ability to take on challenges at both ends of a T20 inning. His young shoulders are built for a load considerably larger than one anticipated.

The other seamers will share the load, but it is now up to Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid to define new responsibilities for the group, particularly when they travel to Australia's hard, drop-in grounds with little swing support. Key Notes for Ind vs. SA 2nd T20I

  • If India wins today, this would mean that the Men in Blue have captured 8 of the 9 T20I series post the T20 World Cup
  • SA hasn’t lost any T20I series played in India
  • India and SA have played 21 T20I matches head-to-head, out of which India has won 12.

Weather Report Today, we can expect humidity of 80%, a temperature of roughly 30°C, and winds of 2 to 5 km/hr. During the game, there is a 30-40% probability of rain.
