India vs Bangladesh Test 2, Day 1: Indian Bowlers Restrained Bangladesh at 227 Runs

In the first test match between India and Bangladesh, India won the session by 188 runs. On December 22, 2022, both the teams came up on the grounds of Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka for the 2nd Test session.

On day 1, Bangladesh won the toss and opted to bat first. Overall, Litton Das and Mushfiqur Rahim attempted to be aggressive and struck a few daring strokes, but they couldn't hold off the skilled Indian bowlers for very long. On his comeback, Jaydev Unadkat bowled brilliantly, picking up a few wickets.

While Bangladesh was on verge of their first day session, they fell in a heap due to threatening bowling of Umesh Yadav and R Ashwin. Both Yadav and Ashwin took 4 wickets individually. Scoring 227 runs, Bangladesh boys lost all of their wickets with Mominul Haque fueling 84 runs in 157 balls. Indian pacers stood tough with their pacing attack, dismissing batters at regular intervals.

Mominul left the pitch, adding a score of more than half-century. In the 3rd session, he got a dismissal. India trail by 208 runs on day 1.
