India vs Australia, 1st ODI, Preview

India and Australia are playing a 3-match ODI series just before the World Cup and it is the last chance for preparation for the ICC World Cup, as it is going to start in two-weeks. Both the teams are coming with their best squad and having a great time in the last few matches. India is coming here after winning the Asia Cup and Australia had outplayed South Africa in most of the matches.

The Australian team is looking like one of the dangerous teams but Travis Head injury has given them some setbacks. However, David Warner and Mitchell Marsh dangerous duo are at top who can smash any line-up for fun. Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, and Cameron Green are known for making a partnership and in the lower order, Alex Carey and Marcus Stoinis can add quick runs. Moreover, the bowling line-up is also great. The pace trio Sean Abbott, Pat Cummins, and Josh Hazlewood will test the strong Indian batting line-up. Adam Zampa will also check the spin-playing skill of the Indian batter.

On the other hand, India had given rest to their top two – Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli. KL Rahul has been given the responsibility to lead the Indian team. This series will also check the Indian bench strength and give the answer of who will play at 4th position and who can make to the playing XI.

Date & Time :Sep 22, 01:30 PM LOCAL

Venue : Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali

Pitch Report : It is expected to rain on boundaries and numerous runs. Although Mohali hasn't hosted an ODI in more than four years, regular T20 cricket may be played on a flat pitch similar to this one. The pacers (43) have taken more wickets than the spinners (22) in the last five ODIs played here, but they have also been less economical. The forecast is for a mild day with bright sky.
