India tour of West Indies, 2023: West Indies vs India, 2nd Test, Preview

India will take on the host in the 2nd Test against West Indies after a dominant performance in the 1st Test match of the series. India is leading the series by 1-0 in the 2-Test match series.

The Caribbean team has been consistently losing the Test series against India in the past 21 years and this time they came to bat to change history. On the Dominica pitch, the Caribbean batter couldnt hold on against the Indian spinners and got all out at 150 runs in the 1st innings. Alick Athanaze was the highest scorer with 47 runs followed by K Brathwaite with 20 runs.

Debutant Yashasvi Jaiswal did a great job along with the skipper Rohit Sharma and both the openers made a double hundred partnership for the 1st wicket. India posted a mammoth total of 421-5 on the scoreboard. Virat Kohli also posted 76 runs in the 1st innings. Ashwin took a fifer followed by Ravindra Jadeja with 3 wickets.

West Indies came to bat in the 2nd innings and got all out at 130 runs. Once again Alick Athanaze was the highest scorer. Ashwin took 7 wickets and Ravindra Jadeja took 2 wickets. India won the match by an innings and 141 runs.
