India Tour of Ireland: India vs Ireland, 2nd T20I Preview

The second Twenty20 International match of the India Tour of Ireland will take place on August 20 at Malahide in Dublin between Ireland (IRE) and India (IND). India won the opening game of the series, though not by as much of a margin as they would have liked because they were unable to finish the game owing to rain delays. In their previous match, these teams faced off at the same location, and India won the toss and chose to field. Ireland's opening stand only lasted for four runs, which was a poor start.

The Irish squad appeared to be in trouble when the second wicket was lost with the same score. By losing three wickets in the space of four runs, the inning had another minor collapse. Ireland was able to put up a respectable total of 139 runs on the board thanks to a brilliant knock by Barry McCarthy lower down the order that kept the team alive. The India team got a really solid start after being given a respectable target to chase, with the opening partnership lasting for 46 runs in six overs.

As soon as Tilak Varma's innings began, the in-form batsman was sent packing, and India lost two wickets in short succession. The game was stopped by rain when India appeared to be in a somewhat awkward situation. After that, the game could not be continued, and using the Duckworth Lewis method, India was proclaimed the match's victor by two runs. Jasprit Bumrah, who was making his comeback, was named Player of the Match for his outstanding bowling effort.

Venue: The Village, Dublin

Pitch Report: The pitch at the Malahide stadium will be beneficial to batters. Particularly the Pacers might enjoy some early swing and pitch their ball forward to see if they get lucky. The pitch's bounce may be trusted by batters, who can play their shots freely. First innings scores in teams that win the toss often come in at 158.
