England women won the toss and opted to bat first. Grace Scrivens and Liberty Heap opened the batting attack on the bowling of Kudzai Chigora. In the first over, Scrivens bought the first boundary for the side while Heap smacked three boundaries in the immediate over. After 3 overs, ENG women got a score of 35.
After 5 overs, the side crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 60. Scoring 25 runs in 12 balls, Heap got bowled out to Chare. Adding 45 off 32 balls, Scrivens lost to Marumani and the women's squad reached the century with a score of 100-2 after 10 overs.
In the 15th over, Holland crossed his 50-run stand and the side jumped to a score of 154-2. In 20 overs, England women posted 199 runs on the scoreboard with a loss of 4 wickets.
To chase down the target of 200, Natasha Mthomba and Kay Ndiraya came up to open the batting attack on the bowling of Lizzie Scott. In the first over, Mthomba got the first four of the side. In the 3rd over, she lost her wicket to Sophia Smale. After 3 overs, Zimbabwe women got a score of 7-1.
Zimbabwe women had a really tough time and lost wickets frequently and their score shifted to 17-5 after 7 overs. After 10 overs, Zimbabwe women got a score of 21-7.
In 12 overs, Zimbabwe women got bowled out, being restricted at a score of 25 and lost the match by 174 runs.
