ICC Under 19 Womens T20 World Cup 2023: New Zealand Women Outshined Indonesia Women by 10 Wickets

New Zealand and Indonesia Women squads squared off against each other at  North-West University No1 Ground, Potchefstroom. The latter team won the toss and opted to bat first. 

 

Ni Kadek Ariani and Kadek Kurniartini unveiled the batting attack on the opening bowling of Browning. Ariani got out at duck. After 3 overs, IDN women got a score of 10-1. In the 4th over, Kurniartini bought the first four for the side. Scoring 13 in 17 balls, she lost her wicket to Wakelin. After 13 overs, Indonesia women reached the half-century with a score of 50-4. 

 

After 17 overs, the side jumped to a score of 65-6. In 20 overs, Indonesia women posted 74 runs with a loss of 7 wickets. 

 

To chase down the target of 75, Browning and Hamilton came to open the batting attack on the opening bowling of Ni Luh Dewi. In the first over, Browning got the first four for the side. After 3 overs, New Zealand women got a score of 23. After 6 overs, NZW crossed the half-century with a score of 52. 

 

After 8 overs, the women's squad jumped to a score of 61. In 9.3 overs, NZW scored 77 runs with no loss of wicket.
