ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2022: Namibia vs United Arab Emirates, 10th Match, Group A Preview
In the qualifiers rounds, Namibia has been performing in the highest run rate possible outperforming the cricket giants squads as well. Currently, Gerhard Erasmus’ squad is posted in second position and can move up on the scoreboard if they beat UAE today. UAE is looking like a weak-performing team so far and Namibia can have the chance of winning if they keep their pace up. Namibia was thrashed by the Netherlands and to this Erasmus said that they have got a lesson saying, ‘It's only human nature to celebrate a big win like that, but it was a very tough thing to do to recover after that. Although we have all the know-how to do that, the experience of how to do that is difficult. It was very tough to mentally reset after that game.
We tried our best to do that, and that's what we're going to do in the next game.’ For David Wiese who is the star performer for Namibians, Erasmus said, ‘He's got a bit of a bump on his forehead and he had a bit of a rugby scrum tape around his head, but it's all fine now.’ In the two matches played against Netherlands and Sri Lanka, UAE hasn’t got a single win. It would be crucial for the side to emerge victorious to sustain in the World Cup tournament.
