England vs New Zealand, 4th ODI: England Secured the Series Win After Thrashing New Zealand by 100 Runs

South Africa and Australia came against each other in the 4th ODI of the series at Lord's, London. 

England batted first, Bairstow and Malan came to bat and Matt Henry opened the bowling attack. Bairstow returned to the pavilion very early. Root and Malan made a partnership of 79 runs for the second wicket. Rachin Ravindra broke the partnership after sending Root to pavilion, when he was playing at 29 runs. After this wicket, Harry Brook came to bat but could contribute much.

Skipper Jos Buttler and Malan made a partnership for the fourth wicket and Daryl Mitchell broke this partnership. Moreover, English batters got the good start but couldn’t convert the good start into the big one. Malan was holding the strike from one end but didn’t get enough support from the other batters, except three partnerships. He scored a century and got out in the 41th over after scoring 127 runs. He was the most successful batter, followed by Jos Buttler, Root, and Livingstone who contributed 36, 29, and 28 runs respectively. Rachin Ravindra took 4 wickets, followed by Matt Henry and Daryl Mitchell who took 2 wickets and Jamieson with 1 wicket.

In 50 overs, England scored 311 runs with a loss of 9 wickets.

New Zealand sent Will Young and Devon Conway to chase and David Willey opened the bowling attack. Kiwi didn't get the great start while chasing a big total. Conway returned to pavilion in the 6th over and Will Young got out in the 9th over. Both the opener got out in the powerplay.

The inform batter Daryl Mitchell also got out after scoring only 4 runs. The top-order couldn't contribute much and after getting a good start, they didn’t convert into the big one. In the lower-order, Rachin Ravindra scored a half-century and he was the only batter to score a half-century.

Rachin Ravindra was the most successful batter with 61 runs, followed by Henry Nicholls with 41 runs, Glenn Phillips with 25 runs, Will Young with 24 runs. Moeen Ali was the highest wicket-taker with 4 wickets, followed by Liam Livingstone, Sam Curran, Brydon Carse, and David Willey with 1 wicket. New Zealand got all out at 211 runs and lost the match by 100 runs.
