England vs Ireland, Only Test 2023, Preview

The world's biggest league is over and now, the spotlight has shifted towards international cricket. The international cricket is starting with the red-ball clash between two neighboring countries - England and Ireland. Both the teams will play only one Test at Lord's.

 

Before the start of the series, many English players were injured, which was the biggest trouble for England against Ireland. James Anderson and Ollie Robinson are not available before the Ashes so they won't participate. Mark Wood was injured in the middle of the IPL and is doubtful to play in the playing XI. Ben Stokes won't fully fit and serve the bench most of the time, and Brendon McCullum has also shown concern for his fitness. Ireland has rested their pacer Joshua Little before the World Cup Qualifiers. Thomas Mayes has got the chance to play after the amazing first-class series.

 

England has an approach to Baseball that has worked but can backfire. Despite the risky approach, England has implemented it successfully. Last time, when they played against each other, England won the match by 143 runs.
