England vs Australia, 5th Test, Day 4: David Warner and Usman Khawaja Partnership Put Australia on the Driving Seat

At the end of day 3, England was at 389-9, James Anderson 8(14) and Stuart Broad 2(2) were playing. They were leading by 377 runs.

Both the batter resumed batting and Mitchell Starc started the bowling. In the 81th over, Broad finished the over with a six. In the 82th over, Anderson got out after scoring 8(19) on the fifth ball. England got all out at 395 runs.

Chasing 385 runs, David Warner and Usman Khawaja came to bat and Stuart Broad the bowling attack. In the 1st over, Warner finished the over with a four. In the 8th over, Khawaja started the over with back-to-back two fours. In the 14th over, Australia reached 50 runs. After 20 overs, Australia was at 63-0. In the 22nd over, Khawaja hit back-to-back two fours. After the end of 1st session, Australia was at 75-0.

In the 31st over, Warner hit two fours. In the 33th over, Warner took a single on the first ball and Australia reached 100 runs. Khawaja hit a four on the second ball and scored a half-century. In the 35th over, Warner took a single on the fourth ball and scored a half-century. In the 36th over, Khawaja hit a four on the third ball and Warner finished the over with back-to-back two fours. Due to rain, the match couldn’t be completed and the umpire called the day off.

At the end of day 4, Australia was at 135-0, Usman Khawaja 69(130) and David Warner 58(99) were playing.
