Netravalkar to Motie, out Shepherd Run Out!! Full ball that beats the swinging blade of Motie on the inside edge. They decide to pinch a quick single, but Pooran did well to take his time and send a perfect underarm throw to catch Shepherd well short of his crease. Shepherd run out (Pooran) 13(9) [6s-1]

19.5

Netravalkar to Iftikhar Ahmed, out Caught by Pollard!! Juicy full toss, but the line is well wide of off stump. Iftikhar swings through the line and gets it off the toe end of the bat. Pollard at long-off runs to his right and completes the catch with ease. Iftikhar Ahmed c Pollard b Netravalkar 30(27) [4s-3 6s-1]

18.5

Narine to Shepherd, SIX, fuller and faster on the stumps, Shepherd holds his shape and smites it over mid-wicket for a mighty maximum

18.2

Narine to Iftikhar Ahmed, FOUR, walks across, picks the ball on a shorter length and slaps it all along the ground in the gap through extra cover

17.1

Netravalkar to Pretorius, out Caught by Pollard!! Pretorius was standing well outside his crease. Netravalkar bowls it on a length but the line is well wide of off stump. Pretorius looks to thump down the ground, but doesn't get the desired contact. Skews it off the toe end and picks out the big man at long-off. Pretorius c Pollard b Netravalkar 25(18) [4s-1 6s-2]

16.2

Narine to Pretorius, SIX, 100 up for the Warriors! Tossed up in the slot outside off, Pretorius clears his front leg and smokes it down the ground over long-on for an 87-metre maximum

16.1

Narine to Pretorius, SIX, fraction short just outside off, Pretorius uses the depth of the crease to step back and maul the pull over the deep mid-wicket fence

15.5

Russell to Pretorius, FOUR, overpitched outside off, Pretorius gets under it and carves the drive up and over extra cover to claim his first boundary

14.3

Usman Tariq to Iftikhar Ahmed, SIX, much-needed maximum for the Warriors. Full ball in the slot outside off, Iftikhar sinks to one knee and thrashes the slogsweep for an 88-metre maximum over mid-wicket

14

Netravalkar to Iftikhar Ahmed, FOUR, full and drifting into the pads, Iftikhar gets across and clips it fine past the fielder at short fine, a long chase for the fielder at deep square and he can't get there in time...

12

Akeal Hosein to Hetmyer, out Caught by Pollard!! Another one bites the dust! That was there to be hit but Hetmyer has holed out! He was looking out of sorts tonight - perhaps the pressure of the big game has got the better of him. On the shorter side outside off, away from the reach of Hetmyer. He reaches out and goes for a flat-batted stroke but only manages to toe-end it towards long-on. Pollard is safe as houses. He takes the catch and then looks towards the crowd. It would have been better had Hetmyer tried to hit through the line rather then trying to hit against it. Hetmyer c Pollard b Akeal Hosein 4(13)

11.1

Akeal Hosein to Iftikhar Ahmed, FOUR, a boundary after 25 balls! Full ball drifting down leg, Iftikhar Ahmed flicks it past the keeper and it races to the fine leg fence

10.3

Usman Tariq to Moeen Ali, out Bowled!! Castled! 91.2kph back of a length ball around off from round the wicket, skids after landing and keeps coming in with the arm, Moeen Ali stays rooted in the crease and perhaps plays for the turn and gets beaten to have his off-stump pegged back. The hosts are in all sorts of trouble. Moeen Ali b Usman Tariq 10(14) [4s-1]

7.1

Akeal Hosein to Shai Hope, out Bowled!! Knocked him over! Akeal Hosein gets rid of Shai Hope with a ripper! Shai Hope was brilliant throughout this season with the bat but has failed to make an impact in the final. He was struggling for rhythm and finally perishes. Honestly, he couldn't have done much about this beauty. It's drifting in initially and it lands on a back of a length on middle and leg, Shai Hope tries to stay leg-side of it but the ball turns away venomously to open him up in his stance. A half-hearted push from Shai Hope but he gets beaten all ends up as the ball goes on to crash into the off-stump. That's an off-spinner's dream dismissal and Akeal Hosein is pumped up. Shai Hope b Akeal Hosein 12(19)

6.5

Pollard to Moeen Ali, FOUR, well played! Back of a length ball slanting across Moeen Ali. He camps back and punches it expertly past the left side of backward point to find the fence. Great timing there

6.2

Pollard to Shai Hope, 1 run, a direct-hit would have been very tight! Pitched up outside off, Shai Hope drives it to extra cover and the batters set off. The fielder has a shy at the striker's end but misses. Oh, the replay shows that had he hit, Moeen Ali was a goner. He was ambling across and didn't go full throttle

5.5

Netravalkar to McDermott, out Caught by Munro!! The change of angle has done the trick for Netravalkar! He is cock-a-hoop! McDermott sizzled in his short stay but has holed out eventually. Length delivery shaping in from outside off from round the wicket, McDermott sizes it up and goes for the swipe but he ends up dragging it towards deep square leg. It's dying on Munro but he gets low and takes a well-judged catch in front of him. McDermott c Munro b Netravalkar 28(17) [4s-3 6s-2]

5.3

Netravalkar to McDermott, SIX, going, going and gone! McDermott is tuned up for the grand finale! He uses his feet, lines it up and swipes the length delivery over deep mid-wicket for a maximum. The execution was good there

4

Akeal Hosein to McDermott, FOUR, high-quality stroke from McDermott! He makes a bit of room and goes inside out over extra cover. He got to the pitch of the delivery and picked his spot to perfection. 15 runs off the over

3.5

Akeal Hosein to McDermott, SIX, shot! In the arc this time, McDermott clears his front leg and smashes it over wide long-on for a maximum. That one made a cracking sound off the bat

3.4

Akeal Hosein to McDermott, FOUR, nicely done! On a length on middle and leg, McDermott kneels down on one knee and uses his long reach to nail the big sweep over backward square leg to find the fence. Perhaps playing the conventional and unconventional sweeps are needed to put the bowlers off their rhythm on this kind of surface where the ball is gripping

2.5

Russell to McDermott, FOUR, first boundary of the innings! Shortish delivery around off, sits up nicely for McDermott. He doesn't get hold of the pull as nicely as he would have liked but has enough on it to clear the leaping mid-wicket fielder

0.4

Russell to Quentin Sampson, out Caught by Pollard!! The short ball ploy against the youngster has worked! Russell is charged up and has a beaming smile on his face! Ottis Gibson, TKR's assistant coach, is also elated in the dugout! It's a sharp short delivery that's well-directed and it's seaming in towards Sampson. He is cramped for space and gets in an awkward position. He hops and fends at it but only manages to lob it towards forward short leg. Pollard gets low in front and takes it inches above the ground. Quentin Sampson c Pollard b Russell 0(2)

18

Motie to Akeal Hosein, FOUR, Akeal Hosein ends this and TKR win the CPL for a fifth time. Out run the TKR players into the middle. It's a juicy low full-toss on middle, Hosein shuffles across and gets inside the line, swings it to the deep backward square-leg fence and that's that, he jumps into Pollard who bear-hugs him

17.5

Motie to Akeal Hosein, SIX, that should be that. What a blow that is. It's full outside off, Akeal Hosein shuffles across and gets under this, a massive slogsweep and it flies into the crowd at deep square-leg, the TKR dugout is pumped

16.2

Shamar Joseph to Hales, out Caught&Bowled!! The crowd are alive and buzzing. A short of length delivery just outside off, stops on Hales a tad, he tries to turn to leg, the thick leading-edge goes straight up and Shamar Joseph calls for it, reverse-cups with ease. The set Hales goes and GAW can see a beacon of hope. Hales c and b Shamar Joseph 26(34) [4s-1]

15.5

Tahir to Russell, out Caught by Moeen Ali!! Two in two and GAW are still in this. Tahir is running away to celebrate. What a good catch at slip. Fired in fuller and quicker outside off, Russell drives and it's a low catch at shin-height to Mo at slip, he takes it even though he looked to have misjudged that slightly. Hangs on with his left hand. Tahir on a hat-trick and all of a sudden there's pressure on TKR. Russell c Moeen Ali b Tahir 0(1)

15.4

Tahir to Pollard, out Bowled!! Is it too late? Tahir gets Pollard. The googly and Pollard goes for a big slogsweep and misses, was early into the shot, the ball finds the stumps. Pollard walks off goading the crowd by raising his arms and pointing to the number and name on the back of his shirt. Pollard b Tahir 21(12) [6s-3]

13.5

Tahir to Pollard, SIX, Pollard picks the googly and smashes it flat, takes it from outside off, on a length and swings it across the line, deep square-leg was in a couple of paces, but watches it go over his head, even if he was right back, it would have cleared him

13.4

Tahir to Pollard, SIX, another mishit and another six. This is a tossed up leg-break outside off, Pollard gets forward to loft, miscues it, but long-off watches it sail over, Hetmyer is showing all his teeth as he grins, he can't believe it

13.2

Tahir to Pollard, SIX, Pollard takes on Tahir and hits him over long-on. This didn't come off the middle of the bat such is the power of the man, it's tossed up and he did not hold back

12.5

Shamar Joseph to Narine, out Caught by Pretorius!! Narine finds mid-off. A hard length delivery on middle, he makes room to loft and miscues it totally, easy catch for Pretorius. GAW needed that wicket. Narine c Pretorius b Shamar Joseph 22(17) [6s-2]

11.3

Motie to Narine, SIX, this is a biggie. This is full and wide outside off, Narine reaches for it and lofts powerfully

11.2

Motie to Narine, SIX, just over the leaping deep square-leg. It's on a length on leg-stump, Narine heaves and has enough on it, Hetmyer was the fielder

7.5

Tahir to Darren Bravo, out Lbw!! Terrific flipper and that has Darren Bravo plumb. It skids on quicker and Bravo doesn't judge it well as he goes on the back foot to defend, misses and rapped on the back pad. In line and crashing into the stumps. TKR waste a review too. Darren Bravo lbw b Tahir 11(9) [4s-2]

7.4

Tahir to Darren Bravo, FOUR, the googly but short outside off, Darren Bravo goes on the back foot and cuts hard, wide of cover, runs away

7.2

Tahir to Hales, 1 run, flat good length outside off, Hales goes on the back foot and punches wide of cover

4.5

Pretorius to Darren Bravo, FOUR, full outside off, Darren Bravo gets forward to drive, the ball runs off the open-face and wide of backward point

4.4

Pretorius to Pooran, out Caught by Shepherd!! Pooran falls. It's a half-volley outside off, Pooran gets forward and lofts flat but straight to the fielder at mid-off. Shepherd won't drop that and Pretorius celebrates in his trademark style. GAW back in this. Pooran c Shepherd b Pretorius 1(9)

4.2

Pretorius to Hales, FOUR, over short third man and four. Hales comes down the track and slashes the length delivery, the thick outside-edge flies

3.2

Moeen Ali to Pooran, no run, GAW waste a review. The bounce saves Pooran as he is hit near the chest, turned around for the big reverse-sweep and misses, gets hit on the body, GAW review and it's going over

2.4

Pretorius to Munro, out Caught by Shai Hope!! Good line and length and the outside-edge is found. Length delivery outside off, holds its line, the dangerous Munro looks to dab and nicks off. Respite for the Warriors. Munro c Shai Hope b Pretorius 23(15) [4s-3 6s-1]

2.2

Pretorius to Munro, SIX, that's in the slot and it disappears. It's a slower-ball off-cutter and full outside off, Munro gets forward and lofts cleanly over long-on

1.5

Shepherd to Munro, FOUR, smashed wide of mid-off. A half-volley outside off and Munro doesn't miss out, he gets forward and drills it

1.3

Shepherd to Munro, FOUR, and it gets worse for Shepherd. Full outside off, Munro gets forward to drive wide of cover and it goes to the fence

1.2

Shepherd to Munro, FOUR, length outside off, Munro gets forward and drives on the rise, beats the diving cover fielder, races away
