Barbados Royals and Trinbago Knight Riders came against each other in the 20th match of the CPL at Queen's Park Oval, Port of Spain, Trinidad. Barbados Royals won the toss and decided to bowl first.

In the 19th over, Russell started the over with a six and Russell got out after scoring 39(22) on the second ball and Akeal Hosein got out after scoring 1(3) on the last ball. In the 20th over, Pooran started the over with back-to-back two sixes and TKR reached 200 runs. He hit a four on the fourth ball and scored a century.

Chasing 209 runs, Mayers and Cornwall came to bat and Akeal Hosein opened the bowling attack. In the 2nd over, Mayers smashed two fours. In the 3rd over, Cornwall started the over with a four and got out after scoring 4(2) on the second ball. In the 6th over, Mayers hit a six on the second ball and Laurie Evans hit a four on the fifth ball. After 6 overs, BR was at 46-1.
In the 7th over, Mayers hit a four on the third ball and Royals reached 50 runs. In the 9th over, Laurie Evans got out after scoring 20(23) on the second ball. In the 12th over, Mayers started the over with a six and finished the over with a four and scored a half-century. In the 13th over, Powell got out after scoring 9(11) on the second ball. In the 14th over, Mayers started the over with a four and hit a six on the fourth ball and Royals reached 100 runs. In the 15th over, Mayers started the over with a four and got out after scoring 70(45) on the second ball. After 15 overs, BR was at 115-4.
In the 16th over, Holder smashed back-to-back two boundaries and Athanaze got out after scoring 7(11) on the last ball. In the 18th over, Nyeem Young got out after scoring 3(7) on the third ball and van der Merwe hit a six on the fifth ball. In the 19th over, BR reached 150 runs on the second ball and Holder got out after scoring 19(10) on the fifth ball. In the 20th over, van der Merwe hit back-to-back two fours. BR scored 166-7 and lost the match by 42 runs.
