Barbados Royals won the toss and decided to bowl first.Guptill and Mark Deyal came to bat and Mayers opened the bowling attack. In the 3rd over, Mark Deyal hit a six on the third ball and it was the first boundary of the match. In the 5th over, Mark Deyal started the over with a four and smashed a six on the fifth ball. In the 6th over, Mark Deyal hit a four on the first ball and got out after scoring 27(19) on the second ball and Pooran finished the over with a four. After 6 overs, TKR was at 47-1.

In the 19th over, Pollard got out after scoring 46(32) on the first ball and Russell hit a four on the second ball. In the 20th over, Guptill hit a six on the second ball and took a single on the fourth ball. With this single, he scored a century. Russell got out after scoring 5(5) on the fifth ball and Dwayne Bravo ran out for a duck on the last ball.

In the 7th over, Powell got out after scoring 10(7) on the first ball. In the 8th over, Holder got out after scoring 14(15) on the fourth ball. In the 9th over, Kevin Wickham hit a six on the second ball and got out after scoring 9(9) on the third ball. In the 10th over, an der Merwe got out after scoring 3(4) on the second ball. In the 11th over, Nyeem Young got out after scoring 3(7) on the fifth ball. In the 13th over, Obed McCoy got out after scoring 1(4) on the first ball. Barbados Royals got all out at 61 runs and lost the match by 133 runs.
