Caribbean Premier League 2023, Eliminator: Tallawahs Made It to Qualifier 2; Won by 5 Wickets

Saint Lucia Kings and Jamaica Tallawahs came against each other in the Eliminator of the CPL at Providence Stadium, Guyana. Jamaica Tallawahs won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Charles and Munro came to bat and Amir opened the bowling attack. SLK didn't have the great start as Munro got out in the second over. 

J Charles also got out very early after contributing 13 runs. SLK kept losing wickets after the initial blow in the power play.

Just after power play ended, B Rajapaksa got out in the 8th over after scoring 14 runs. Sadrack Descarte and Alzarri Joseph were the next two batters who couldn't do much and returned to the pavilion.

Raza and Roston Chase were two batters who made a small partnership but both got out in the 16th overs on Fabian Allen. SLK couldn't make a partnership and lost their batters. Roston Chase was the highest run-scorer. Fabian Allen was the highest wicket-taker. 

Saint Lucia Kings scored 125 runs with a loss of 9 wickets in 20 overs.Chasing 126 runs, Brandon King and Alex Hales came to bat and Peter Hatzoglou opened the bowling attack. Both the openers gave them a great start and made a partnership of 43 runs for the 1st wicket but Matthew Forde broke this partnership in the 5th over. JT lost their next batter on the next ball. In the 7th over, Matthew Forde took another wicket and it was his third wicket in the match.

Raymon Reifer came next and made partnerships with other batters, Alex Hales and  Imad Wasim and helped his team reach the target. Matthew Forde was the highest wicket-taker with 4 wickets. JT chased the target in 17.2 overs with 5 wickets left. JT scored 126-5 and won the match by 5 wickets.
