Caribbean Premier League 2023, 24th Match: Tendon Batting Against Trinbago Powered Kings to Become Table Topper

Trinbago Knight Riders and Saint Lucia Kings came against each other in the 24th match of the CPL at Brian Lara Stadium, Tarouba, Trinidad. Trinbago Knight Riders won the toss and decided to bowl first.

Munro and Charles started the batting for SLK and Akeal Hosein bowled the first over for TKR. In the 3rd over, J Charles hit a four on the third ball, which was the first boundary of the match. In the 4th over, J Charles started the over with a four and got out after scoring 13(13) on the second ball. In the 5th over, Munro smashed two boundaries on the third and fifth ball. After 6 overs, SLK was at 47-1.

In the 7th over, Munro started the over with a four and SLK reached 50 runs. In the 13th over, Roston Chase got out after scoring 32(31) on the last ball. In the 14th over, SLK reached 100 runs. After 15 overs, SLK was at 109-2.

In the 16th over, Raza got out after scoring 8(8) on the first ball and Munro hit a six on the fourth ball. In the 18th over, Munro hit a four on the third ball and Williams hit a four on the fifth ball. In the 19th over, Williams finished the over with back-to-back two boundaries and SLk reached 150 runs. In the 20th over, Williams hit two fours.

In 20 overs, Saint Lucia Kings scored 167 runs with a loss of 3 wickets.

Chasing 168 runs, Guptill and Mark Deyal came to bat and Forde opened the bowling attack. In the 2nd over, Guptill smashed a six on the fifth ball. In the 4th over, Guptill hit a four on the third ball and got out after scoring 16(15) on the fourth ball. In the 6th over, Pooran smashed two boundaries and got out after scoring 15(11) on the last ball. After 6 overs, TKR was at 45-2.

In the 9th over, Tucker smashed back-to-back two fours and Mark Deyal smashed a six on the fifth ball. In the 10th over, Mark Deyal smashed two fours. In the 13th over, TKR reached 100 runs. In the 14th over, Mark Deyal started the over with a four and hit back-to-back two fours on the third and fourth ball to score his half-century. After 15 overs, TKR was at 127-2.

In the 17th over, Mark Deyal got out after scoring 57(45) on the first ball. In the 18th over, Tucker started the over with a four and Russell hit a six on the fifth ball and TKR reached 150 runs. In the 19th over, Russell hit three boundaries and won the match for his team. TKR scored 169-3 and won the match by 7 wickets.
