Big Bash League: Sydney Sixers Won Against Melbourne Renegades by 34 Runs

At Sydney Cricket Ground, Sydney, the teams Sydney Sixers and Melbourne Renegades met against each other. The latter team won the toss and bowl first. 

To unveil the batting attack, Patterson and Philippe came to the middle on the throw from Akeal Hosein. In the 2nd over only, Patterson slammed three boundaries. Scoring 17 in 16 balls, Patterson lost his wicket to Mujeeb and the right-handed batter, James Vince took the batting charge. After 7 overs, SYS boys crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 57-1. 

In the 12th over, Philippe reached his 50-run stand and after 14 overs, the side crossed the century with a score of 104-3. Fueling 26 off 23 for the side, Vince got a dismissal from Sutherland. 

In 20 overs, SYS posted 149 runs with a loss of 8 wickets. 

To chase down the target of 150, Guptill and Maddinson came to the middle for opening the batting attack on the throw from Dwarshuis. 

In the first over only, Guptill lost his wicket and the right-handed batter, Aaron Finch took the charge. After 3 overs, the side got a score of 8-1. In the 5th over, Finch hit the first four for the side.  

On the throw from Christian, Shaun Marsh and Finch slammed three boundaries, one and two respectively and crossed the half-century with a score of 58-2. Adding 28 off 25, Marsh lost his wicket to Kerr. scoring 36 off 35, Finch also lost his wicket to Murphy. 

After 18 overs, MLR crossed the century with a score of 111-9. In 19 overs, MLR scored 115 runs with a loss of 10 wickets and lost to SYS by 34 runs.
