On the ground of Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, the teams, Adelaide Strikers and Hobart Hurricanes came to the middle. With both the captains on the pitch, the former team won the toss and opted to bowl first.
To unveil the batting attack, McDermott and Caleb Jewell came to the middle on the throw from Short. In the first over only, McDermott crunched the first four for the side while Jewell slammed two boundaries in the immediate over. After 3 overs, the side got a score of 30.
After 5 overs, HBH crossed the half-century with a score of 52. In the 6th over, McDermott took the ball off for two huge sixes while Jewell hit a four and a six. In the 4th over from Ashraf, Lynn slammed two fours and a six and after 6 overs, the side crossed the half-century with a score of 57-1. After 10 overs, the boys crossed the century, standing at a score of 111-1.
In the 11th over, Lynn and Short both reached their individual 50-run stand score. Fueling a huge score of 64 in 29 balls, Lynn lost his wicket to Dooley. After 15 overs, the score of ADS jumped up to 163 with a loss of 2 wickets.
In 19.3 overs, ADS scored 230 runs with a loss of 3 wickets and won the match against HBH by 7 wickets.
