Big Bash League 2022-23: Melbourne Stars Triumphed Over Adelaide Strikers by 9 Wickets

At Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne, the teams, Melbourne Stars and Adelaide Strikers came to the middle, where the former team won the toss and chose to field first. 

 

To unveil the batting attack, Short and Ryan Gibson took the batting attack on the throw from Luke Wood. In the first over, Short crunched two sixes and a four. Scoring 20 runs in 9 balls, Short lost his wicket in the immediate over. After 3 overs, ADS got a score of 25-1. 

 

After 8 overs, ADS crossed the half-century, standing at a score of 52-3. Scoring 21 off 25, Hose got a dismissal from Nile. In the 17th over, Nielsen slammed back-to-back two boundaries and he lost his wicket to Zampa after fueling 40 off 33. After struggling hard, ADS boys crossed the century with a score of 104-7 after 17 overs. 

 

MLS restricted the score of ADS to 108 in 19.2 overs with a loss of 10 wickets. 

 

To chase down the target of 109, Joe Clarke and Thomas Rogers came to the middle on the throw from Short. In the 2nd over, Rogers bought the first four for the side while in the 3rd over, Clarke drilled two fours and a six, getting a score of 31. 

 

After 6 overs, MLS crossed the half-century mark with a score of 55. After 14 overs, the side crossed the century with a score of 104-1. 

 

In 14.3 overs, MLS scored 109 runs with a loss of just 1 wicket and won the match against ADS by 9 wickets.
