Big Bash League 2022-23: Brisbane Heat Defeated Melbourne Stars by 3 Wickets

The teams, Melbourne Stars and Brisbane Heat came on the ground, Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne. The latter team won the toss and opted to bowl first.

Joe Clarke and Thomas Rogers opened the batting attack on the opening bowling from Neser. In the 2nd over, Rogers smacked the first two boundaries for the side. In the 3rd over, Clarke lost his wicket and after 3 overs, MLS boys got a score of 23-1.

After 9 overs, MLS crossed the half-century with a score of 62-2. Scoring 26 in 23 balls, Rogers lost his wicket to Renshaw and the right-handed batter, Nick Larkin came to the crease.

With Webster putting in his efforts, MLS jumped to a score of 90-3 after 13 overs. After 15 overs, the side crossed the century, standing at a score of 110-3. Fueling 36 off 34 deliveries, Webster got dismissal from Neser. In the last over, Larkin smashed multiple fours and lost his wicket after scoring 58 in 36 balls.

In 20 overs, MLS posted 159 runs with a loss of 7 wickets.

For the run chase of 160, Josh Brown and Khawaja came to the middle on the opening bowling from Wood. In the first over, Khwaja bought the first two fours for the side. In the consecutive over, Brown lost his wicket to Hatcher, adding just 5 runs in 4 balls. After 3 overs, BRH got a score of 27-1.

After 7 overs, BRH boys crossed the half-century with a score of 51-3. With Renshaw standing tough for the side, BRH crossed the century with a score of 101-4 after 13 overs. After 18 overs, the side jumped to a score of 147-6.

In 20 overs, BRH scored 160 runs with a loss of 7 wickets and won the match by 3 wickets.
