BCCI Announce India’s Squad for Bangladesh Tour in December
BCCI has announced India's test and ODI squad for the Bangladesh tour. India will play 3 ODIs and 2 Tests after the New Zealand tour in December 2022. Rohit Sharma will resume after a short break and lead the Indian side in the Test and ODI. Some new faces managed to find a place in the squad, while some players couldn’t make it. India’s Test Squads Against Bangladesh Test Squad: Rohit Sharma (C), KL Rahul (VC), Shubman Gill, Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, Rishabh Pant (wk), KS Bharat (wk), Ravichandran Ashwin, Ravindra Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Shardul Thakur, Mohd. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Umesh Yadav. India has picked their best team for Bangladesh and is loaded with the best batting lineup. Rohit Sharma is all set to lead the Indian side after a short break and will open with KL Rahul or Shubman Gill. Pujara, Virat Kohli, Shreyas, and Rishabh Pant will follow the batting line-up. Jadeja and Kuldeep Yadav are making a comeback, and Jadeja is coming after recovering from an injury and will give balance to the Indian side, while Kuldeep Yadav is making comeback after 2021. The Indian fast bowling line-up is packed with Shami, Siraj Umesh, and Shardul Thakur. Ashwin, Jadeja, Kuldeep Yadav, and Axar Patel will take care of the spin attack. Jasprit Bumrah is not picked in any team there is no surprise- he is still recovering from the back injury. Prithivi Shaw and Ajinkya Rahane don't find a place in the Test squad. Sarfaraz Khan, who is a run machine in the domestic circuit also not selected for the Test squad. Shami, Mohd. Siraj, Deepak Chahar, Yash Dayal Rohit Sharma is leading the ODI, and many new faces have got a call for the Bangladesh tour. This team has a mix of experienced players and younger ones. The Indian batting line-up is filled with experienced players- Rohit Sharma, Sikhar Dhawan, Virat Kohli, Shreyas Iyer, and KL Rahul while some BCCI includes some new faces to the batting lineup- Rajat Patidar and Rahul Tripathi. Ishan Kishan and Rishabh Pant are two wicket-keeper batsman included in the team. Ravindra Jadeja is also making a comeback in the ODI team, and he will provide stability to this Indian side.
