At Day 3 stumps at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka, Afghanistan have scored 45 runs while losing two wickets. On Saturday, Rahmat Shah and Nasir Jamal will begin play at their respective scores of 10 and 5, respectively, with Afghanistan still needing 617 runs to defeat Bangladesh. On the other hand, the home team is just eight wickets away from crushing Afghanistan. Afghanistan was not ever a player. It has all been Bangladesh, with the exception of the second morning when they took the final 5 wickets for 9 runs. Afghanistan had already defeated the hosts prior to this Test, therefore an even matchup was anticipated.
However, since their triumph in 2019, the environment has changed. The surfaces are now better suited to fast bowling, as shown by the fact that pacers claimed 21 of the 33 wickets that were lost in the Test. Ebadot, Shoriful, and Taskin had superb ball control and utilized the surface more effectively than their rivals. The other batters contributed to Bangladesh's biggest triumph, but Najmul Shanto stood out as the only other Bangladeshi to score two hundreds in a single Test.
Afghanistan is a young Test cricket squad, but since they have won three of their six matches, we expect more from them. There is no justification for them to have been completely outplayed with the bat in both innings, even when they were without their finest player, Rashid Khan. They simply couldn't handle the pressure of the Bangladesh speed trio, and they will learn from this. This concludes the one-time Test. However, these two teams will shortly clash for five white-ball games.
