Australia Whitewash England in the ODI Series with 3-0

On the grounds of Melbourne Cricket Ground, the captains of both teams came up for the toss and began the

Aus vs Eng match. England won the toss and chose to bowl first. 

 

 

 

To unveil the batting attack for the 3rd ODI match, Head and Warner came to the middle to witness Woakes’s bowling. 

 

Making a great start, Head got the first boundary of the innings. Head kept drilling multiple fours and reached at a score of 32 after 6 overs. The batters smacked a six for the side. On the over from Olly Stone, Warner hit glorious three boundaries in the 9th over that crossed the half-century, with a score of 59 after 9 overs. 

 

Head and Warner stood tough and moved the score of Australia to 85 after 14 overs. The deadly pair stretched the score of the team, crossing the century with a score of 111 after 19 overs. After 20.2 overs, Warner reached his 50 and after 25 overs, the partnership directed the team to a score of 150. 

 

Head crossed his century single-handedly and reached a score of 180 after 28 overs. Warner and Head got the highest-ever opening stand in ODIs at the MCG and created a score of 188 after 29 overs with no loss of wicket. 

 

After 32 overs, the duo crossed double century, dragging the score high up to 206. Oily Stone made a huge breakthrough and dismissed Warner, allowing him to score 106 in 102 balls. Right after him, Head lost his wicket to Stone, who scored 152 off 130. 

 

In the

Aus vs Eng match, Australia posted a breathtaking score of 355-5 in 48 overs. 

 

 

 

To chase down the target of 364, Roy and Malan came to the crease to face the bowling attack of Hazlewood. In the 2nd over, Roy bought the first two boundaries for the side. Hazlewood took the first wicket of England. Scoring 17 runs after 3 overs, England lost their 1 wicket. 

 

With Roy’s efforts and his wonderful shots for big boundaries, England crossed the half-century with a score of 51-1 after 11 overs. Fueling 33 runs in 48 balls, Roy lost his wicket to Cummins. England lost its wickets frequently and jumped to a score of 68-3 after 16 overs. 

 

With Moeen Ali and Buttler on pitch, England shifted their score to 90-4 after 23 overs. The English batters struggled hard to reach the century and crossed the mark after 27 overs, standing at a score of 106-7. 

 

Sam Curran took the ball long off the fence for a six and Dawson got the boundary on the over from Zampa. 

 

Cumulatively, the side scored 142 runs in 31.4 overs. In

Eng vs Aus 3rd ODI match, Australia won the match by a whopping score of 221 runs.
