Asia Cup, 2023: India vs Nepal, Preview

The final match of group A will be played between India and Nepal and this match is do or die for both teams. In the last two years, Indian main players are out at the previous moment of the tournament and this time monsoon is not supporting the Indian team. Moreover, India's last match was washed out due to rain and on the other hand, Nepal faced a humiliating defeat. Even if rain will impact this match, India is going to qualify for the super four stage. If Nepal find a way to do the miracle, they will qualify for the super four but they have struggled against the quality side.

In the last match, the Indian top-order failed once again but the good thing is that the middle took care and Ishan Kishan and Hardik Pandya made a 100-plus partnership and ensured that India will have a competitive total. Ishan Kishan got out while pulling Haris Rauf and missed his century. Hardik Pandya also missed his century in the last game. In the end, Jasprit Bumrah also contributed some crucial runs.

On the other hand, Nepal got thrashed by Pakistan after making a partnership. They lost the match by 238 runs and can face the massive challenge. Due to their absence from the previous game, Kushal Bhurtel and Aasif Sheikh must perform well at the top. Paudel, Aarif Sheikh, and Sompal Kami must all contribute runs as Paudel serves as the inning's middle-order anchor. Good hitters Gulsan Jha, Dipendra Singh Airee, and Kushal Malla will try to add extra runs down the order.

For the team to challenge the Indians, their bowlers must be at the top of their game. For the team to succeed, Karan KC and Sompal Kami must bowl well at the top. The team's finest bowler, Sandeep Lamichhane, will want to perform well in the middle innings alongside Lalit Rajbanshi and Dipendra Singh Airee.
