Afghanistan v Pakistan 2023: Pakistan Thrashed Afghanistan by 142 Runs Afghanistan and Pakistan came against 1st ODI match of the series at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Stadium, Hambantota. Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Fakhar Zaman and Imam came to bat and Fazalhaq Farooqi opened the bowling attack. In the 1st over, Fakhar Zaman got out after scoring 2(4) on the fourth ball. In the 2nd over, Babar Azam got out after a duck on the last ball. In the 3rd over, Imam hit a four on the third ball and it was the first boundary of the match. In the 5th over, Rizwan smashed a four. In the 7th over, Rizwan hammered two fours. In the 8th over, Rizwan got out after scoring 21(22) on the fifth ball. After 10 overs, Pakistan was at 46-3.   

 

In the 11th over, Pakistan reached 50 runs on the fourth ball. In the 17th over, Agha Salman got out after scoring 7(29) on the third ball. In the 21st over, Iftikhar Ahmed hit a four on the first ball. In the 26th over, Pakistan reached 100 runs on the first ball. In the 28th over, Iftikhar Ahmed got out after scoring 30(41) on the last ball. After 30 overs, Pakistan was at 122-5.   In the 31st over, Imam took a single and scored a half-century. In the 32th over, Shadab Khan hit a four on the first ball. In the 36th over, Shadab Khan took a single on the third ball and Pakistan reached 150 runs and Imam-ul-Haq got out after scoring 61(94) on the last ball. 

 

In the 38th over, Usama Mir got out after scoring 2(3) on the first ball. In the 39th over, Shaheen Afridi got out after scoring 2(8) on the fourth ball. In the 47th over, Shadab Khan ran out after scoring 39(50) on the fourth ball. In the 48th over, Haris Rauf got out after scoring 1(2) on the first ball.   In 20 overs, Pakistan scored 201 runs with a loss of 10 wickets.   Chasing 202 runs, Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran came to bat and Shaheen Afridi opened the bowling attack. In the 3rd over, Ibrahim Zadran got out for a duck and Rahmat got out for a duck on the fifth ball. In the 4th over, Shahidi got out for a duck on the third ball and Ikram Alikhil hit a four on the fourth ball. 

 

In the 8th over, Ikram Alikhil got out after scoring 4(9) on the first ball. After 10 overs, Afghanistan was at 21-4.   In the 14th over, Gurbaz got out after scoring 18(47) on the third ball and Azmatullah finished the over with a four. In the 16th over, Nabi got out after scoring 7(19) on the third ball and Rashid Khan got out for a duck. In the 17th over, Abdul Rahman took a single on the third ball and Afghanistan reached 50 runs. In the 19th over, Abdul Rahman got out after scoring 2(13) on the fifth ball. In the 20th over, Mujeeb hit a four on the first ball and got out after scoring 4(3) on the second ball. Afghanistan got all out at 59 runs and lost the match by 142 runs.
